Hello, I am looking for a simple build for my father of 70 years. So I'm trying to reach the max dps with heavy lightning attack and build a He's playing right now witch fart (build alcast one bar with the plague doctor or maternal sorrow depending on the situations) Seen the nerves coming from the farts and aoe. Another possibility is considered. Thank you for helping a retiree

I currently run the same layout (Mother sorrow and Rattlecage) as a Templar and love the single bar lay out.. melt standard over land mobs, and can solo some vet content.. all with a single bar..

With the changes on PTS I’d try the knight slayer set. It’ll work in pve now.

Adds 8k damage to every heavy attack.

I would suggest trying a magicka DK with the following:

5x Queen's Elegance
5x Law of Julianos
2x Willpower OR Illambris OR Valkyn Skoria

5x Light, 1x medium, 1x heavy armor is best doing damage.

5x Heavy 2x light is better for staying alive.

Lightning staff should have Infused trait and Berserker Enchantment.

Jewelry should have 3x Spell Damage enchantments.

Shadow or Apprentice mundus stone.

Use Molten Armaments to boost heavy attack damage.

Eruption and Flames of Oblivion as damage abilities.

Inner Light for passive buffs.

1 slot for a defensive ability or heal.

Elemental Rage for Ultimate.

With this build you would only need to cast abilities once every 15 seconds and will have very strong heavy attacks.

Elegant of course and cp in staff expert and stack magicka, craft afliq or necropotence. Also try 1 Domihaus 1 Ilambris. Heavies will hit like a truck.

I have a heavy attack focused shock sorc and I assume you are also basing your fathers build on a sorcerer, if not I highly recommend you do, mainly for the Power Surge/Boundless storm combo of skills which are easy to keep up 100% and provide a huge degree of survivability.

Id say as a minimum you want to farm Hel Ra trial for Infallible, because its very powerful, buffs heavy attacks, debuffs the enemy by increasing damage against them.

There are a number of options you can pair this with to add further buffs to heavy attack damage, such as:

There are a couple of other magica options if you intend to pvp, such as "Knight Slayer", which Id say absolutely get if you are doing pvp content.

However reading between the lines, it may be worth considering pairing Infallible with a more defensive set that helps keep your father alive in content... besides making sure he is keeping Power Surge and Boundless Storm skills on 100% (and making sure crit chance is high on the build), there are a number of useful sets. (note that I would not use Sunderflame for a magica shock build as the rest of the stats are a waste).

"Livewire" spings to mind, it procs a huge amount of health if surrounded by adds or taking damage from multiple enemies, so it can really save you.

"Almalexia" is often overlooked, but can be worn on the weapons and jewlery and procs health 20% of the time you take damage, again it can really save you.

"Draugr's Rest" is also worth considering, it procs a huge amount of health from heavy attacks, effectively providing over 1000hp per second for 10 seconds, every 10 seconds. It can be kept up almost 100% of the time and the whole group get the health if near you.

For a monster set, consider "Maw of the Infernal" as this will proc a damage mechanic off of heavy attacks, and provides health to help stay alive. There is also the fan favourite "Zaan", which does a huge amount of single target damage proc from heavy attacks.

Note that there are other very good options across the board, but I have focused specifically on heavy attack related sets.

Finally, you may wish to check out the content provider Xynode on Youtube, as he has a build called "Easy sorc" that is heavy attack focused and explains everything you need to know. You do not need to copy, but it does give some insight and ideas.

I’ve been using Xynode’s “Easy Sorc” build since right after Morrowind dropped. Not only is it a heavy attack build that has a dead-simple rotation, it’s also very tanky, has easy resource management, and I have used it in all game content. Without question my favorite “all-rounder” build, it’s been my “main” since I stumbled onto it.

I run infallible aether / netches touch / maelstrom lightning staff (charged back bar) and zaan or skoria. I could never be bothered to farm an undaunted infiltrator lightning staff though that would be better than netches touch. However netches touch is easiest to get on a lightning staff since there's a named drop. I got lucky with an aether staff drop.

bonjour, je vous remercie de l'aider. Pour la rotation de easy sorc il n'arrivera pas à l'éxecuter. Il n'arrive déjà pas vraiment à se battre et bouger à la fois, une rotation a part si c'est 3 compétences. Le changement de barre est difficile. Je cherche vraiment à le concentré sur l'attaque lourde et avoir en actif seulement 2-3 compétences d'attaque et le reste pour son heal personnel ou défence. Ce qui est sur c'est L'aether il le faut tout le monde est d'accord la dessus! Ensuite il lui faudrait un autre set qui permet de bien tanker et un autre au contraire qui se montre aggresif. Une autre question ce sont les points champions pour le heavy attack ou faut-il mettre? pour un meilleur rendement et quel type de sort qui vont avec Les dégats sur la durée je présume?. Faut prendre en compte que les Aoe vont être nerf donc je voudrais pas construire quelque chose qui risque d'être obsolète dans 1 mois même si encore rien est fait! Actuellement il joue avec le build alcast vma (1 barre) avec pet. Il est content avec et fini le contenu veteran hors DLC le médecin de la peste avec necropotence donne un build avec un petit dps tout en étant tank.
