In the event that ZOS made a Battle Royal mode, what would you like to see in it? What limitations and or buffs? No CP or CP? What could be done about the tank meta and unkillable builds just outliving everyone regardless of how little damage they can do?

A battle royal game in ESO would take forever since people who know what they are doing just dont die as fast.
So i'd say its impossible to do it with the current PVP Setup. And if they wanna do it they need to rebalance the game to this specific Gamemode and they don't want to do this for PVP / PVE, so i wouldnt get my Hopes up.Work hard, and you will be rewarded. aaisoaho✭✭✭✭✭I think battle royale doesn't fit as a game mode into a MMORPG game.
Battle royale game mode's base concept is:
- last man standing PvP
- Every player starts from scratch
- Players can find better gear while exploring the battlegrounds
In RPG, the base concept is:
- player character progresses the further the player plays the game
- Character progression is done as gearing, as levels and experience and as 'stats'
I think the starting from scratch goes against the basic idea of character progression, as every new BR fight starts your character from zero - and if that wasn't a case, it would water down the concept of BR. If the game mode wouldn't start from the scratch, the players would start from unequal grounds and the progression during the match would not work, because the players would most probably already have the best gear.
So, whats left of BR then? Last man standing PvP. Let's introduce a troll, who uses a seemingly unkillable tank. The troll would let others kill each other and then st the end, there would be only a 'serious' player vs a troll tank, where the tank cannot kill the other player, while the other player cannot kill the troll. This leads to a situation where the two would waste other players' time.
EDIT: forgot to add: I think one of the main appeals in BR is the progression from zero to hero in a single match. Without it, the game mode would be called last man standing.Edited by aaisoaho on July 15, 2019 3:42PM5 -
