That's annoying, was intending to pump out 2 more event tickets before the Thieves and DB event ended at 3:00 pm BST. Quote "The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event returns this Tuesday, July 2, at 3:00PM BST and runs until Monday, July 15, at 3:00PM BST." They lied, it finished at 9:01 am BST when the server came down!

Yup, I'm hoping they bring the servers up early otherwise the event effectively ended yesterday.

They always do this. Basically, if people want event tickets for the last day, they have to stay up super late to turn the quests in after midnight (or whatever time it would be in their time zone).
They almost always have maintenance for the last part of events.

This is really, really annoying. Don't say an event runs to 10 a.m. (EST) if you are planning to take the server down from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Seriously. While the events don't mean anything to lots of people some do like to try and snag as many tickets as they can and plan according to the schedule you post.
Many events start and end on Thursday so this hasn't really been an issue a lot of the time.
Usually not many arguments with ZoS but you flubbed this one.

You do you. I have no problem either, I was able to login before maintenance and grab my 2 tickets. That doesn't mean I can't understand why others might have an issue. There is something called empathy that seems to be in short supply these days. You should try it sometime.

It's not false advertising. The event is still technically running. Gotta be careful with the accusations on the forum of the accused.

They have yet to learn to mamage their customers expectations on these things and conversely we have not learned to temper our expectations.

If this is your first event, sorry you learned this way, bit gping forward if ZOS left hand says something ends during typical maintenance time ZOS right hand will make sure maintenance is on time.

I was just finishing my second set of activities for the day (on the EU server) when the 15 minute warning came up. I am glad I woke up and thought about it.

I wonder if they are trying to sell 2 more event tickets for the 500 Crown cost with shenanigans like this.

They also lied on the event page about resets. On the event page ZOS puts "Note that you can earn only two tickets per day per account, and they’ll reset at 1:00AM EDT each morning." yes there were people trying to get their last two tickets a little after 1 am EDT this morning. There were post in guild chats and zones for everyone to make sure they get their tickets before the servers go down at 4 am EDT. So the scene around the Heist board and the Sacrement dude at 1:15 am EDT, several players standing and waiting for the reset. Of course everyone, but ZOS apparently knows the reset is not until 2 am EDT, same time as Pledge resets. Was the event page a lie or were they just to lazy when they copied and pasted from the event earlier in the year to change the time allowing for Daylight Savings?

Yes, the event is still running. Just because the server is shut down and you can't access the event doesn't mean anything to them.
