When scrolls get dropped

Ever wondered what happens when scroll-carriers drop into water?
Slaughterfish get to the scroll-carriers first.
Scrolls will return to the last keep they were placed in apparently, not to the respective temples automatically alas.
Ahwell, that's how Cyrodiil rolls. We will get our scrolls back darned!

Backstory: Daggerfall Covenant got Volundrung and got both Ebonheart Pact scrolls from Aldmeri Dominion.
Both scrollcarriers met their fate at the base of the Allesia bridge.

PS: swimming is not an option, even if you're Argonian. Tried it once, on another scroll, in another battle, when my nose was less grey.

Same fate happens to Scrolls dropped into the lava between Chorrol and Weynon Priory.

The carrier dies and the Scroll stays put in the lava until reset ... since anyone trying to pick it up also dies in the lava.

Probably not in the OP’s example ... but in mine it was totally intentional.

The Lava Monster needs appeasement. If only there was something else we could offer it?

Soloution: make it so that if a scroll is over water/lava for more than 5 mins without being touched it "washes ashore" [teleports] to the nearest bit of player accessable land
