Gifting of Houses

I do not understand why this is not possible. Everything else that I have seen is giftable. I mean really? If I wanted to surprise the wife and give her one of the few houses she doe not have I can not. This is not right and honestly would make me look good...so I think that we should be able to gift houses so I can earn wife brownie point <GRIN>.

I totally get why some are not since they require achievements to unlock. But the DLC ones that can not be purchased with gold and have no achievement barriers should be able to be gifted imo.

This one thinks it might be crossing the line in terms of - if someone is gifting you something worth that much then what are they getting in return?

Dubious real world transactions perhaps?

Something along those lines.

Except in the same vein @SantieClaws, wouldn’t anyone seeking a real world transaction not simply buy the crowns and then buy the house?
I don’t think hitmen are hired via selling houses in ESO.

All the gifting stops is crown sellers, which I suppose protects some people’s millions of gold from scammers.

When they introduced Gifting on the PTS, it was originally possible to gift Houses. However, there was a fairly major bug - you couldn't gift houses that you already owned - so that functionality was removed.

I don't know if ZOS has never managed to fix that bug or if there's some other issue, but that's the most obvious reason I can see why we can't even though its technically possible.
