Perfect Roe / Fishing

I would like if a dev could confirm or deny whether a Roe from fishing has decreased chances for a Roe after getting one and if the chance for a Roe is increase over time up to a limit.

I got 3 Roe today fishing at 4 fishing holes at 4 different times from two regular fish. At least 1 hour in between each instance and fillet immediately after finishing the hole.

Just check grand master angler's thread. It seems chance is roughly like 1 raw per 150 fish (averaged from his 30 master anglers titles). Also all devs are cheaters, there is no true RNG, you will always receive more in the beginning to motivate you.

I have a theory that fishing up Roe is like cost of a teleport. Teleport, the cost is high. After time the cost goes down. I think Roe is similar in that way he chance is highest until you catch a Roe. After that the chance is reduced but increases over time to its maximum chance. Just a theory but I’ve repeated the above fishing. I’m not a fisherman farming fishes. I randomly drop into a hole while questing.

Semi-related to this... i was fishing in summerset (because bottles and pearls)... and collecting torchbugs when the fishing became too mind numbing. And got none. Probably 50ish torchbugs... maybe ZOS doesn’t want us to make artaeum takeaway broth?

As far as I can tell it is utterly random, I've filleted 600 fish without getting one (yeah I keep count, I'm a saddo) but then filleted ten fish and got two. I'd agree with the Grand Master Angler that the average is around 1 per 150, but in my case I have really long dry spells. Having said that it doesn't hurt to sacrifice a few NPCs to the RNG gods in between fishing holes...

10000 fish test came back with a .4% chance to get a roe if that helps

oh and price was 75g per fish totalling 750,000g even you were to get 11000 each for the roes you would see 440,000g thats a huge loss. Now considering how long it would take to farm 10000 fish you can easily do much better things to earn gold. I am actually suprised they sell for as cheap as they do.
