What is it that you win that others won't get by paying for those skill-lines?

PvP potentially, specifically for lower level characters. You could make a new character, get him to level 10, buy all the Skill Lines, and then go dominate Under-50 BGs and PvP.

Undaunted is not required for anything, it's just a luxury min/max boost. I could dominate under 50 bg's on a lowbie while only spamming sweeps. Any decent player could do the same as well.

    Nothing is required for anything.

And why are you comparing a skilled player with an unskilled whale? The problem is skilled whales. Cherry-picking special cases doesn't lead to insightful discussions. It just facilitates talking past one another.

I have a job and a busy life and play a lot of other games too so I'd pay for all of it. Especially that true black dye. I don't play games to emulate a scenario more grindy than my real job.

Psijic just sucked. That lil skull is so annoying. Mages guild i would absolutely pay for whatever the price. Undaunted I’d just do to get it done. Psijic, annoying skull and all I’d probably just grind out again.

Pay to win is a slippery slope.

Pay for convenience. Nothing more because you previously need to unlock the purchasable lines with a char at least.

Imagine having to pay for a QoL feature that should be free, just shows how greedy ZOS really is.
Should be a free opt-in choice when you create the character, but no, gotta make money off every single thing thats somehow monetizable.
Next thing that will come is that you can buy achievements and titles if you have already done them once.

We should just automatically get the skill lines max level when a new character gets to level 50.

Why? That's never happened in any other MMO I've played, so where does this idea even come from?

This isn't anything remotely like "achievements should be account-wide", it's much more entitled than that.

This comes from the "I should get a participation trophy" attitude of the new generation. The new generation of gamer are just lazy and its making games too easy and boring.

I am (just barely) young enough to qualify in that generation, and I don't know hardly anyone my age who actually acts this entitled. I also work with the public, and lemme tell ya, lots of old folk act this way. Lots and lots of them.

So ... it's almost like we maybe both have an intrinsic confirmation bias, and the reality is just that, you know, some people are lazy ingrates and other people aren't, irrespective of generations?

Also, yeah, naw OP. If you don't want to grind skill lines all over again, don't. If you want/need them badly enough that they are worth having, then they're worth grinding (or now, I guess, buying). Easy as that.

No chance I'm giving Zos money for something that can be done in a day or two

If you ALREADY done the skill line before I see no big deal with it. The ONLY factor is time for money swap. I have limited time. Want to actually play and not grind.

I already bought one car at the dealership, I shouldn’t have to pay for or work for another one...

A better analogy would be having to buy the same car again so someone else in your family can drive it.

Selling the skill lines wouldn't be that big a deal if actually doing the quest lines wasn't such an awful experience. I don't think it's unreasonably to think that the game should be fun, if a part of the game doesn't live up to that idea than it really needs to be reworked.

Seriously though... ZOS should sell characters with max everything... skills lines, gear, achievements, and $5 million gold in inventory. I would drop $500 for that.
