Are nords actually good for anything? I've wanted a Nord since the game released (maybe the nostalgia of Skyrim).
I have taken a year or so break from ESO but returned recently for Elsweyr. Nords where good for nothing when I left and still seem to be the same.
Why is this?

Vermethys✭✭✭✭Nords are generally considered the BiS race for PvE tanking because of their increased Ultimate generation. They are also a very good choice for Stamina builds in PvP because of their high resistances and Ultimate generation.PC EU CP1400+

✭They dont have a lot of the stats for top DD (500 stamina, 258 damage), but that ultimate generation is definitely something you can work with - dont know if it will *fully* compensate for lack of basic DD racials, but it will get you some way and you're tankier too.
Its also worth noting that as their ult generation does not come from main sources (heroism) you can stack this too and build fully into it.EU: Magden, Magknight, Stamsorc(*2), Magsorc

ImSoPro✭✭✭Nords are good for PVE tanking as mentioned above already. They’re also good for PvP builds centered around ultimates because of their passive ultimate generation they gain ultimate faster than any other class. Also very tanky. I have a nord magden that does pretty well in PvP0 -

Yep - my PVP char is a defensive Nord Magsorc wearing armor master and necropotence. two damage shields, one which procs armor master . A lot of people run tri stat food in pvp anyways, but you can run blue health/mag food and get more of each at the cost of a little less stam, also a health bonus.
in pve as a tank the ulti is good and the resists offer you some flexibility in gear where other races will have to run certain monster sets or cp configs to have comparable resistances. the extra stam means your stam will be higher than your mag whcih is important for resource return from shards and orbs, and the extra HP is obviously useful.

✭I do well on Breton stamblade on a nord you should be destroying I have literally seen nord mag dks doing well because of those resistances and ultimate regen.0 -
