Please change Night Mother’s Gaze 5 Piece (worthless with Caltrops change)

So this was an interesting change:

Razor Caltrops (morph): This ability no longer deals initial hit damage, but instead applies Major Fracture to enemies hit by the DoT, up to 4 seconds at Rank IV.

Great! Now all stamina classes have easy access to Fracture while solo. I’m all about it. Except my NMG 5 piece (major fracture) is now totally useless.

Please consider updating the 5 piece bonus so these effects do not overlap. Personally I think it would be great if you made it a unique source of penetration again. Something small like 2000 penetration on crit. That way it would at least stack with Caltrops. But heck, you could do literally *anything* to the 5 piece bonus and it would be an improvement for Scalebreaker.

    Change it to a magicka set, that way every class has easy access to Major Breech.

    ... not eveyone uses caltrops. No reason at all to change a set because a skill does something similar.

    Please change a set so I don't have to regrind it or so I don't have to gild out another one.

    Just wait until the patch after next when they change caltrops (yet) again.

    The set is fine. It's still better than 95% of the sets in the game. Plenty of sets mimic abilities you can cast from skills and there is plenty of space for that overlap. Don't like the set and want to use caltrops instead? That's fantastic, you just freed up a 5pc set that can now be something else instead. options.

    Tava's Favor - 5 items: When you dodge an attack, you receive the blessing of Tava, generating 9 Ultimate over 3 seconds.
    Nocturnal's Favor - 5 items: Whenever you successfully Dodge, heal yourself for 46-4000. This effect can occur every 2 seconds.
    Noble Duelist's Silks - 5 items: When you dodge an attack, your Light and Heavy Attacks deal an additional 14-1225 damage for 8 seconds.

    Those 3 sets became 100% useless when they removed the 15% chance to dodge from shuffle. They haven't redesigned them yet, what makes you think they will redesign this?

    There's also a pretty good chance that caltrops won't be used anymore in PvE.
    Change it to a magicka set, that way every class has easy access to Major Breech.

    Every mag class has access to major breach through ele drain.

    Did you even tried a parse in the PTS?

    so why tank wouldnt be us9ing caltrops now? they are not for dps anymore, they are pure support skill now and whike giving and status like snare on enemis it will give for tank more agro from enemies within it so it is evem more usable for tanks now for group pulls, no dd need to slot it as tank have even more reason to use it now

    Yup, Caltrops will be a support skill now, the feeble damage hardly justifies having it on a DD. As a tank, however, I do plan to run Caltrops whenever I see that group can benefit from AoE fracture and doesn't have any other source of it.

    NMG still has some niche uses. In vMA, classes without Fracture may save a skill slot and a GCD by wearing it. (Now, granted, number of people running vMA will drop now as the bow's falling into obsolescence... ^^)
