NB fear needs something else, now that we have fighters guild skill.

Title pretty much... With the recent change to Fighters Guild skill which now acts as an improved and better fear that everyone has access to, NB fear needs some added utility to set itself apart or a complete rework.

Does anyone have any ideas?

    Class skills do a whole lot more than just what is on the tool tip via its passives.

    Circle of Protection:
    Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs to 3902 from 7987.
    Fixed an issue with this ability and its morphs where you could not gain the Minor Protection from this ability if you had Minor Endurance active prior to entering the area.
    Turn Undead (morph): This morph is now called Turn Evil, and fears any enemy in the area upon cast, rather than only Undead.
    Ring of Preservation (morph): This morph no longer reduces the cost of Roll Dodge while in the area. Instead, it heals up to 6 friendly targets (yourself included) in the area every half second. The heal is based on our AoE HoT standards.

    Turn evil is stam version fear with unlimited number , better than NB one .

    minor maim or minor vuln or min frac/breach would turn it into a nice tank skill...its a bit underw. compared to lets say necro totem

    They just got rid of the extra buffs that came with Fear. Now they look like fools with the Turn Evil skill.

    And they are fools.

    i think since necro has min vul and i doubt they want to give minor frac/br... maim would make sense since the shade becomes really expensive

    It already does: break free doesn't work properly with it (still after they "fixed it) :D

    No you don't. You have invisibility - the ability to literally turn off aggro at will. You don't need anything else. Fear is just a fancy stun, nothing more - and there's plenty of sources of stun in the game. Fear was never exclusive to Nightblades.

    That's an issue of all fear abilities AFAIK.

    Instant AoE CC stun is exclusive to NBs. Name one other skill in the game that does that.

    Mhm... So can we can better version of streak in Mages Guild skill line? Or better BoL in Psijic Order? You do understand that if nonclass skills will be better than class defining skills, we won't need any classes at all?
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    Since asking for buffs will probably get us nowhere, I'd argue that the Fighters Guild skill should be toned down or reworked instead. It absolutely shouldn't overshadow a class skill. ...Regardless of whether that particular class has access to cloak or not.

    Fighters guild is now a paid skill line so you better believe the stuff in it will become more powerful than class skills lol

    You're missing the point. There's now little reason to take Aspect of Terror or its Mass Hysteria morph. Turn Evil now does the same thing for more or less the same cost and without a target limit in addition to all of the perks it grants while standing in it and the WD bonus from the Fighter's Guild's Slayer passive.

    The only perks Aspect gives over Turn Evil are Aspect costing a different resource (Magicka compared to Stamina), having 1m larger (20% larger) AoE radius, slotting Aspect granting 3% Max Health from Dark Vigor, and its activation proccing the Shadow Barrier passive (which will likely be kept up by using a different Shadow skill or different source of Major Resolve and Major Ward anyway). The Manifestation of Terror morph, given its unique "fear trap" mechanics, is the only morph that might ever be worth taking over the new Turn Evil; but few even use that as of now, so I doubt many more will start taking it.

    In short, there's no reason for Aspect of Terror to even exist with Turn Evil completely overshadowing it. ZOS just spent the last two major patches trying to AVOID having pointless abilities. Having Aspect of Terror suddenly end up pointless after all that runs contrary to the reasons for the changes to begin with. Surely either Aspect of Terror needs a buff or rework, or Turn Evil needs a nerf from its PTS state.

    Yeah.. but... Fighters guild is a base game skill line... NB is also base game class...

    Besides... If you power-grind on dolmens on a new character to level 50.. then you have fighters guild maxed from the go...

    Yeah I agree. The skill is a little weak and could use some love.

    I would give it a damage or healing over time effect like path of darkness has.

    Yeah I agree. The skill is a little weak and could use some love.

    I would give it a damage or healing over time effect like path of darkness has.

    I'd go for major breach and fracture or aoe dot could work to, and ofc both skills should have same targets limit: no limit or 6 targets at best.
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.
