Armour Too Dark

Hello, I'm a newbie and I apologise if this was asked before but I couldnt find anything about this.

The difference between different colours on armors are not noticable enough for me. On clothing stations or near lights its fine, but as soon as I start wandering around, especially indoors, every color becomes too dark to be noticed.

dont want to play around with my gamma or brightness because it just messes up the other things. I also tried changing the shadow setting but it did not help.

Is there anything I can do in the settings, or any addons, to make armours more noticable?

Thanks!

Well, there is an in-game Gamma Calibration adjustment (Settings-> Video -> Display -> Gamma Adjustment, press the "Calibrate" button). You should definitely use that regardless of your current problem to make the game as visually pleasing as possible.

In terms of dyes: As you progress through the game and complete content (and the achievements associated with it) you will at times unlock various new dyes. As your palette increases you will find that some dye are quite bright and should lighten up your armour quite significantly. Julianos White is a good example of a light coloured dye. However - as you likely know - not all dye act the same on all armour surfaces: whether and item is metal, cloth or leather can often affect how much a dye colours it.

In terms of addons, yes I think there are some addons around that play with the colour/saturation/gamma setting of the game, but nothing specific to knowledge that solely deals with equipment. ESOUI is a good place to browse for addons.
If you can be anything, be kind.
