PS4 out of range body loot
I've noticed since this last patch about half the time I kill a mob the body jumps...as in about 5-10 ft then the corpse is not lootable. I thought maybe it was necro abilities bugging them out but it happens on a Scorcerer and a Night Blade as well.
I can't loot at least 1/3 of the corpses even if I move around but they are clickable I just get "target out of range" error
Not zone specific seems to happen anywhere including public and grp dungeons and even with bosses.

✭Yep this happens to me pretty frequently as well. Especially annoying when you're trying to farm things from a particular critter, like mudcrab chitin or leather, and it teleports away becoming unlootable.1 -

Durnik✭✭✭✭This has been around on PC NA for quite a while. The trick is to kill something near that body then loot that body so you can get the area loot. I've turned in-game bug reports in before but never hearing a word on bug reports and certain bugs being around for a bit just turned me off of doing them in game so I do them on the forum or support portal. Well, I used to do them on the support portal but I cannot get in the support portal anymore. But that is another topic...0

✭Does \reloadui fix the problem? I remember a similar issue in group dungeons affecting me a year or two ago, and as long as I reloaded the UI they would become lootable again. Not sure if that might be a temporary fix for you or not.Feric51

On PS4, by the time you get back in the game with long loading screens, anything you could loot is gone.0 -

That doesn't work. I looted the boss in a geyser on Summerset and he was right next to the broken loot body, that body was still there but the boss was looted.
As for reload ui how do you reload the ui on a ps4? I had to clear all my data just to fix the crash on zoning and it just repeats eventually. Which is a pain in the butt when I have to reset all my options and forget about area vc and get scared by some random person yelling into their mic 😂0 -
Lauranae✭✭✭✭✭PC NA : same problem with corps with different classes but more consistent with a BOW.
Each time i use Scattershot (or morphs), each time the enemy dies, i can see the corpse make a big jump toward me, and drop on the ground.
And i can not loot it all.
Then the message: Target out of range
I can even reproduce this each time with this skill. The only way i found is to use the skill and start running toward the mob to be near of the range start.My most recent charactersAD - Chjara NB-0 -
lakeaSoul ShrivenMy Group and I have also been having this problem on PC NA as well since Catweyr (Elsweyr). Sometimes the enemy will be killed away from us and suddenly appear dead at our feet. Most of the time, going to the Point Of Death and clicking E (or whatever your loot button is) repeatedly while walking to where the body dropped will work.

✭✭✭So when will this get fixed?
The problem is that the corpse is really at the location where they died, but it beams to be nearer to you right when it dies. That means you can only loot if you are close enough to the place it really died when you loot it.
I am having to run close to things now near the end to make sure I can loot them.
I noticed this today when I was running in Toothmaul Gulley. I went on to complete a quest, which was far enough away, and the corpse moved to where it really died when I returned.
Should be a direct fix with these details.
