Brexit causing all sorts of supply issues these days.

That is kind of sad to see, but honestly I have given up trying to hold ZOS to account for actions over the Crown Store, at this point nothing said matters.

It's a low blow to make an item potentionally more expensive then putting it up for direct sale in the crown store for crowns.

I thought they had learned, but alas not!

I wonder if they adjust the prices of these gem-exclusive stuff according to how many people have around the time of release, in order to make them use the gems up, so they have to get more crates if they want to have that currency... Regardless of the price, it's a terrible model, they one-up'ed their radiant apex mounts, something we thought couldn't get worse--but with the crown store it's always: 'But wait, there's more (of predatory bussiness decisions)!'.

Cynically, I think it was due to the fact this mount had been a huge talking point with how they needed to redesign it so it didn’t look like the earnable one. I think they may be cashing in on the good will from changing the design.

Or they need to take gems out of player’s balances more than they did with gloms Wolf because, lo and behold, new crate season meaning people will just get what they want with gems (like I did) rather than buying the things.

Gloam Wolf was cool and wanted by many while current mount is not, that's why lol. More bought - more gain. This one will not be bought that well and so the price is higher to compensate.

I'm actually glad it costs this much. (No, I don't have it and don't plan on getting it)

The reason I'm glad is because this mount is a bit of a cheese-tactic to get a certain look that I feel should have been reserved for those with the skill to get the requisite achievements in Sunspire. (Note: I do not have those skills, but I fully support ultra-rare rewards for the best raiders)

If I were in charge this mount wouldn't even exist. Alas I'm not.

The price, and the last minute redesign are both welcome compromises in my book. At least now people can't pull out the mount and claim they beat the trial's HM or whatever it is, when in fact they just spent a few hundred pounds over time.

Just because you need to buy more crates, that's why.

How do you feel about that factotum skin, then? The one that was originally released OUTSIDE of gamble crates for a far more reasonable sum of money that's just a different color than a skin earned in a difficult trial? Now it's a legendary drop from crown crates that only costs 100 gems. What now?

I wasn't playing ESO at that time, whenever it was in the store. Is there a similar polymorph that can acquired through gameplay? Genuine question here.

Yup, and it's a lot, LOT more rare than the sunspire mount which is an automatic unlock provided you make the clears. The Clockwork Curator - the bronze colored version of what they put in the cash shop - is a rare runebox drop in vAS hard mode. I begin to doubt anybody actually has it, as I've never seen anyone equip it in the game... haha.
