Asking about positive changes, not about nerfs to sorcs or anyone else. I like the entropy change into a proper Dot for classes that don't have easy access to major sorcery

I like the near death of caltrops from a stam rotation opens up slotting more class skills or other bow skills. Also the sword n board changes make me wonder if i can make a power bash dps pve. Love the two hander changes

Speaking of bow I like the cost reduction of silver bolts potentially making it a ranged spammable for bow users

I'm interested to see silver bolts become a spammable. Kind of weird, I know, but curious.

I also like the rework of circle of protection, and wonder if it scales with highest resource or will be strictly stam.

I guess I like a lot of the changes to rarely-used skills.

I'm interested to see how the buffs to the destro skill line will affect mag players (not counting ele wall). I'm hoping that they actually do turn out to be buffs and that more of those skills become actually useful.

Definitely agree with you there, the changes to rarely used skills will help with diversity instead of everyone using the same handful of skills

Although I use both 7th Legion and Ravager, they have been long overdue for a rework.

The duration increase for Wall of Elements. Should make for a slightly less spammy and more fluid rotation, provided the skill will still be usable once all is said and done.

Soul trap I guess? Petsorc nerfs are also nice.
    Politeness is respecting others.

That's a huge thing in my view, long overdue. There's so much more to a game if most players can freely choose between all the skills rather than feeling forced to join the elite few who will always go for a few "must have" skills and ignore the rest. Apart from anything else it also makes it much less critical when one specific skill or another is tweaked slightly.

Coming late to the party so far as all the excitement and drama over the leaked notes is concerned, I've only just started reading through the patch notes and haven't yet come across anything I don't like, whilst always welcoming changes that keep a game fresh and challenging. Thus far the Silver Bolts changes have certainly appealed to me, but I'll continue to read the notes generally before coming up with a favorite.

Well, force shock is the only skill that received a buff. Every other skill basically got a nerf

Unfortunately there will always be a "best" and a "meta". There will be builds that are just, by numbers, perform better than other combos.
However, I'm also all about the off-meta-if-you-can-swing-it mentality. I'm happy to see options that, while they may never find a place in a meta cookie-cutter build, might really bring off-meta closer in terms of capabilities.
Silver bolt + evil hunter (up to 25% increased damage for FG stuff) might make for a fun spammable for bow/bow.

i do like the changes to the guild skill lines (fighters / mages)...makes them a lot more useful imo...

I do like some of the weapon changes, 2h in particularly (not the rally hot nerf tough)

not too big of a fan of the class changes especially the nerf to AOE dot's but too early to tell the impact...

I think the armor changes are interesting, same with 1h+s but dont think the changes will make skills more or less attractive tbh except maybe defensive posture

Disappointed with the power bash change - wasted opportunity to turn it into a useful skill, used by anyone

silver shards + evil hunter might also make a good spammable for stamsorc maybe who doesnt have access to major savagery?

What I like best are the former community member(s) who decided to take a stand against the injustice imposed upon an entire community by the current development team and post a pretty accurate version of the abomination now known as PTS patch notes v5.1.0. Many of the changes the community never asked for nor wants.

The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I am still going through notes but...
    • I like the dual wield teleport.
    • I like the restoration staff expedition buff.
    • I like the shield bash change to a spammable.
    • I like that New Soul Trap is a thoughtful change for new players.
    • I like the new Circle of Protection morphs.
    • I like the new blood altar.

I haven't fully read through the patch notes. Some things I didn't quite like (Like how some abilities for Necromancer are getting nerfed, not a big fan of that), some things I did find quite interesting. I am somewhat hoping that with the buff to Wrecking Blow, albeit minor, will make it more viable to use in PvE situations. Also disappointed to see that Hidden Blade is getting nerfed and won't be used as a spammable anymore. However Defensive Posture seems to be looking quite good in terms of it being a shielding ability.

Also it seems that single-target damage over time effects are getting a bump in damage, which makes me scared to see that the mantra of "Play Dual-Wield and Bow to be taken seriously in PvE" will be magnified by a lot.

One of my builds is like that, won't be bis but actually stronger than it was before. The rest will need work but I am actually excited about playing around with new skills and abilities and using different gear

I agree. I always found Eclipse a bit...dull. In it's current form it's too easy to get rid of (for players anyway, NPCs are frequently stupid) and doesn't really do a lot. In some games it would be worth carrying to throw out occasionally but when you're limited to just 10 skills it doesn't seem worth it.

I'm not sure I'll use the new version either, but at least it will do more and therefore there's more potential to find uses for it.
