Hes not spawning...
Abandoned mission and started over. Still no luck.

Anyone else have this issue?

Many of those sacrament instances have secret areas. Some can be pretty hard to find. I've never had a case where the mark just didn't spawn, so maybe try looking around a bit more. If you're close enough you'll be able to spot the black hand over the NPC, even through walls.

May be you just didn't find him. Some bits of the maps are very well hidden. I know I've sometimes felt like the mark is simply not there, but searching slowly, looking for the black hand through the walls, they eventually show up.

He was in a secret spot North east of the map.
I pray this helps others if they come across similar issues.
Been lookin for this damned cat for near on 2 hrs.
Killing him felt great!

Another great thing is. If you bugger the job you can abandon quest and retry.

I had this same issue. Not sure how old this thread is - but it seems this is still a problem today - and with it happening during the event it could cost people an event ticket.

Both YouTube and the Quest Tracker are wrong and point you in the wrong direction. As you said, go all the way to the northeast corner of the map and that's where you'll actually find him.

Both YouTube and the Quest Tracker are wrong and point you in the wrong direction. As you said, go all the way to the northeast corner of the map and that's where you'll actually find him.

Don't ever assume that a target will always spawn in the same place. There are multiple possible spawn points for each specific target, and some of those spawn points are in hidden areas that don't appear on your map until you find and enter them. Just because you found Abizzaka in the northeast corner of the map today, that doesn't mean he'll be in the same place the next time you have Abizzaka as a target. It's not a bug, it's not a problem, it's how sacraments are supposed to work.

They need to update these quests to make it clear that the targets aren't actually where it says they are.

The quest tracker gives you a massive area where the target is, and I've never ever had the target not be somewhere within that massive area even if they're right at the edge of it (and I've done a ton of sacraments - I typically do 5-10 per day during the events, and often do them when no events are going on). So frankly, I highly doubt that the quest tracker was wrong. Possibly you were looking at the area where the secondary target is located?

And as far as Youtube goes, I don't know, last I checked that wasn't something that's in ZOS's control. If someone posts something on Youtube that's not totally accurate about how sacraments work, or if you watched something on Youtube and just assumed that's the only spawn point, well then you shouldn't have blindly believed that.

I found him in the extreme northeast corner of the map, as far back in a room full of water as he could be. I had been ready to give up.

Oh yeah, that's a possibility, and that actually is a bug. With that particular NPC in that particular spawn point I've found that when he gets up and moves around, at some points you'll see the quest mark above his head, and at some points it just won't be there.

I did last night and then this morning when finally I was able to track down this thread and as a result find out where he actually was.

Both my quest tracker and compass were telling me the target was in the center of the map when in fact Abizaaka was way outside the circle in the north east corner of the map - not even close to where the quest tracker was actually telling me he was. So I can assure you with 100% certainty the quest tracker was wrong.

I've never had this happen to me before either. Usually the target is where the quest tracker indicates. But in the case of this particular NPC - Abizzaka - he wasn't anywhere near it. The optional target was where the quest tracker said he was so that wasn't the issue.

Same here. I was about ready to give up too. Thankfully I kept the quest in my log unfinished before I went to bed last night before the reset. Otherwise I would have missed out on my ticket because I didn't wander across this thread until this morning.

Actually it seems I did miss out on my event ticket thanks to this. Because I just did the new sacrament for the day and it didn't give me one. So this cost me a ticket.

What I have noticed with Sacraments and named targets is, sometimes named targets will spawn but not be part of the mission. For example I've run into Aojee-Ei when he is not in the menu. Killing him will not tick his name off the Blackest Sacrament achievement. And like all the Sacrament NPCs he will respawn in a bit.

Could this perhaps be a case where a 'fake' copy of the target is spawning together with the real one? Or even instead of?

As others mentioned I've never had a case where the target did not spawn at all, but I've also never seen a target that's not properly marked with the black hand.

I did dontrememberthename Sacrament where I had to kill 2 npc, 1st one was no problem but after much searching found out the other one did not have the kill/any indicator but was all the time wallowing in a pool in mid of the room.

Lucky? Iirc it's a pet that you (sometimes) havr to kill. If so you're right, it doesn't have a kill mark above it nor can oyu use Blade of Woe because it isn't humanoid. I stumbled over the bugger by chance the first time I had that one, which was lucky or I'd spend ages searching.

I found him in a secret tunnel in the northeast corner of the map. Didn't know that area existed before that mission.

much as I despise cluttering up my view with NPC Nameplates/Health Bars, turning this on lets you see names of all NPCs in the area, not just the ones you mouse-over. This can be very helpful especially when the Black Hand marker glitches and doesn't show. If you don't like Nameplates just turn them back off when you're done with the Sacrament.
