What if Ultimates scale with max Magicka + max Stamina?

That way a hybrid build doesn't have weak ultimates by spreading attributes out.

And if ultimates used (weapon power + spell power) too then a pelinal's aptitude build could have really strong ultimates.

Great idea, I think any new roads for hybrids are great. Though for PVP I see interesting niche for hybrids with new onslaught ult - that removes the weakest part of any hybrid - insufficient penetration. Pair it with balorgh and clever alchemist and you may receive decent WD/SD even without pelinal.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, I just started playing again after a year break so my knowledge is a little rusty on the game, but I thought ultimate scaled with your highest stats. You just don't get the penetration. For example, dawnbreaker scales with mag + sd if it's higher, but uses physical pen.

Yeah. When I asked in game how putting some of my attributes into stamina and magicka instead just all into magicka I was told it'll hurt my ultimate noticeably.

So I didn't bother using attributes on anything but one attribute. Seems so shallow an rpg system.

Well my friend your wish is granted because this is already exactly how the game works! Your ultimate will scale with your spell or weapon damage and max magicka or stamina. The only drawback to running a mag ultimate on a stam character is that it will not experience the benefits of your physical penetration and weapon critical stats. It is however perfectly viable to run mag ults on stam toons, most stam wardens run permafrost as their back bar ultimate.

There is a ton of information out there and not all of it is correct, if you have any more questions try the forums again!

I am not sure that is what I was talking about. 50/50 max magicka and max stamina does less ultimate power than 100 of magicka or stamina is what I thought it was now.

You think everyone will use pelinal's for stronger ultimates? All I hear when I mention hybrid builds and pelinals is that it is not worth using but if you are doing general pve content do whatever you wish. The way it is now the game penalizes the effective of skills to anyone who doesn't put 100% of their points towards a single attribute.
