Faction lock nonsense!

Fix this immediately ZOS. A bunch of my friends and I want to change to the winning side EP. About 3 dozen of us dont want to be AD losers anymore, I want to win. Need to switch.

I’m ok foregoing all alliance rewards. I do want to be able to siege a keep to get inside, but I don’t need the option to flip it. I just want to get inside and kill the peoples.

I’m ok with not being emp and blocked from picking up volundrung and scrolls.

Let’s do this.

See i'm trying to figure out how people may expolit it. Having friends in a merc faction siege a keep for you may be too trolly.

Maybe even just have it locked like other factions, if you choose that then thats it.

Could even have other mercs apart from your own group be hostile as well.

Also limit group size of them to 12, so there is no 24 man raids running around.

just make it so we cant group if your black flagged.

The only win I get is wiping a zerg with 8 friends or so. I sometimes lose but it's part of the game. There are more organized zergs than others.

Black flag options does sound interesting. No leader board would make sense since you can`t be emp on a non allaince character. I like this idea...

An interesting 4th faction that is really not a faction at all...

A issue with this would be the trolling of people in chat. Black flag could also use zone chat to be at places to riun and troll the allaince they belong too... I think they would need removed from zone chat for this to work.

Sounds cool though.

My first post was masked with sarcasm, but even so, I have to disagree with your point. You are the minority, the average ESO pvp is ultra casual. They want to win and have the path of least resistance. PC NA AD and DC have been getting destroyed. Many of those casuals want to go EP for the easy win and easy pvdoors. This type of fluid movement of bads is what balances the campaign to a small extent over the past few years. Faction lock and now this bug to boot will only serve to diminish our PvP population.

ESO is ultra casual, many AD and DC (PC NA) will simply choose not to play since they can not go EP now. The casual would rather not play than get farmed for 30 days.

Play on only one faction like so many others do. Problem solved. The faction lock exists to prevent cheaters from swapping factions to secure 10+ 30-day campaign rewards each month. Faction lock isn't going away - you can't cheat anymore. Get over it.

Care to explain how it is cheating? Care to explain what your statement has to do with OPs topic? The campaign just ended, everybody is allowed to switch. Is it safe to assume you are one of the AD bowtards constantly getting packed up on that DC twitch stream?

You seriously equate getting many rewards to cheating?

It's ok for the guy who made 18 EP toons to get 18 rewards but the guy who has 11 EP and 4 AD can't get get 15 because it would be cheating?

What is it to you that someone gets 100 rewards? Seriously?

Cheating is picking up a scroll while playing opposing alliance and bringing it back to your alliance... I've seen that and nothing we could do. Like there are a ton of examples of cheating but this "example" takes the cake. Gilliam the Rogue himself had made a video about how 30 day PvP was the most efficient way to get transmutes... And now he works there... This is actually so funny.

Faction lock could work if we had 5-10x more active PvP players.

The PvP pop has not grown alongside the rest of the game pop and remained cery static normaly only filling 1 campaign on PC NA because performance is terible and no one sticks around for it.

Clasic solving your broken leg problem by shooting yourself in the foot.

It will still "work" regardless, but not without some upset folks.

I support this, let me kill everyone. Faction loyalty is meaningless to me and the leaderboard rewards even less.

Make a 4th faction for ppl who want to do away with faction lock. Emping for the 4th faction is disabled of course.

Then they can play with their friends, still play in cp 30 day, and make some gold by offering their services to the highest bidder if they so choose.

You could give them one of the towns not currently used as a hideout or lair. This base wouldn't have any affect on emping for the other 3 factions.
The town would remain the same with no outpost or keep and it would effectively act as a spawn point for them only.

Edit* you could use all your characters o the 4th faction regardless of what faction they are tied to as well.
