On PS4 NA server, I completed VMA with a score 499k last week as a Templar. The weekly leaderboard showed I was 50th on Sunday but I didn't receive and rewards. I found this strange because I got the rewards a few weeks ago with less than 300K (my first time completing VMA in one go). So I raised a customer service ticket and just got below response (template) back.
"We are currently investigating reports of the weekly leaderboards not behaving as they should. This is particularly evident with Veteran Maelstrom Arena, but can also affect Group Arenas and Trials as well.
Essentially, what seems to be occurring is that not all qualifying players are displaying on the board, as it is viewed in-game, but they are being recorded on the backend. The effects of this are two-fold. For a player who qualifies for a reward but is not displaying, it becomes more difficult to track your placement. The upside to this is that the score is recorded, and if the score qualifies, the rewards will still be granted.
Unfortunately, as a number of players are experiencing this simultaneously, it makes tracking your actual placement on the leaderboard difficult. A player who is in the top 100, as it displays in the game, may actually be outside of the top 100 since a number of players may not be showing up. While the final rewards should be still rewarded to the correct qualifying players, knowing whether a score actually qualifies or only appears to qualify can be difficult."
This means the players ranked 51-100 also didn't receive anything last Monday July 1st (rewards for the previous week)?
I've googled and found similar issues raised a long time ago. But people are saying that as long as you complete VMA without exiting VMA / going offline, you'll get the rewards. Is this no longer the case anymore?
I'm just wondering what is really happening so I can set my expectation accordingly.
