For some reason, this event feels like the least enjoyable one

I've played religiously through all the past events, and I have been all about getting those event tickets. I didn't love the DB/Thieve's Guild event that we had previously, but it felt at least somewhat tolerable. This time though, for some reason, I'm really not enjoying the event. Doing those dailies right now feels like pulling teeth to me. They're not difficult to do quickly (especially if you ignore the optional objectives), but I really dislike doing them right now. Yesterday, even though I was in the game, I didn't do the events, because after the 4th of July celebrations, I just felt too wiped out to put up with the unpleasantness. I don't think I've ever consciously chosen to forego getting event tickets for the day before (I usually only ever miss them if I didn't get in the game at all that day). But the heist and sacrament dailies, as quick as they are, are just super unpleasant and annoying to me for some reason. Maybe it's because we already had this event not so long ago, but for whatever reason, I'm finding it really difficult to enjoy this event, even as I'm still working towards those event tickets. Anyone else not feeling this event for whatever reason, or am I just an odd one out right now?

I liked and finished the Dark Brotherhood. Thieves guild is ok. Heists and sacraments are even easy enough to do quickly. There’s no motifs to buy and I don’t have nor want that crappy mount so there’s no reason to do this event.

I’m rich. I ain’t farming mats lol. Oh well.

Yes, heists and sacraments are trash when forced to do on daily basis for 2 weeks. Just don't put to much thought into it, complete main objective ASAP and ignore everything else.

ZOS did a lot of player research to find out what they could add to an event to increase interest. They polled 3 furry roleplayers and a cat and the response what "CATS!, CATS!, CATS! and meow?" The logical conclusion was that whiskers style materials would be a huge win!

TBH I've been skipping it. It's summer; there are SO many better things to do than sneak past NPCs.

The difference between this event and all the others is that it's solo. No Sacraments or Heists with friends. No meeting new friends. No way to goof off, like running Dungeons naked or running amok with a PvP group. It's just you and some robots. It's E$O's single player minigame.

Not doing any of it this event, I’d rather do fishing event.
Come up with something new, a lot of guild event can be adopted by ZOS as whole eso event for whole server fun.

I'm fine with the event. That said, I have limited goals for it. There is nothing I want event tix for really and came into the event with 6.

I'm doing one Heist a day to get back to 12/12 then that will be it for those. That said, I do them like any 'delve' - sneak through, kill and loot everything in the dungeon and ignore any time constraints. One thing I like about the Heist dungeons (a lot) is that they are solo instances with no other players to interfere.

Another aspect of the event I like is that I love the Gold Coast as a zone - lots of Oblivion nostalgia. So double reward boxes is kind of a nice incentive to spend time there doing the WB and delve dailies there on some days during the event if I feel like it. :)

Divine Night's Silence set + Steed Mundus on a Nightblade makes the Heists/Sacraments stupidly simple to complete fast, barring the occasional bug where NPCs witness a crime through walls. Probably takes around 10-15 minutes max to complete the Sacraments and Heists that way, maybe less. That said, the only 'new' item from the Impresario is the 1st Onyx Berry, so unless you need more feathers for a Nascent Indrik mount, there's nothing you really need that you haven't farmed the heck out of last time. This DB/TG event is really only designed to be a "catch-up" opportunity imo. No offense to OP, but it kinda sounds like you may be experiencing burnout, so there's nothing wrong with taking a break.

However I do agree on the boring factor. Heists have only had the same 5 maps, and Sacraments have had the same 3 maps all these years since their release, and they all play virtually the same really. Not to mention rewards suck ass. Would be nice to have a change-up in possible maps, traps, and maybe some interesting details off the beaten path... Why are there not more furnishing rewards from Dailies? So far I think only the Vvardenfell dailies have a unique Legendary furnishing drop (Crimson Shard of Moonshadow). ESO lacks intriguing loot when comparing it to other MMOs.

Did a heist yesterday where I needed to steal 3 caches of goods. I get to #3 and the game glitches (not responding to lockpicking the chest). I start to do a /feedback and ctd. Yep, so far it's the least enjoyable. I'll just wait for the new dlc and see if it works.

The anniversary style ticket event where you had to press 2 buttons was more my style definitely. These dailies become tedious very fast, even on a nightblade.

Yeah, I’m over those heists and sacraments as well. I got all the associated achievements back when the DLCs dropped and then after doing the heists and sacraments during the last event I am near my threshold this year. Unless there are some amazing rewards next time I think I will pass if they require these two particular quests again.

Yeah, I feel like they repeated this event because they couldn't come up with anything better. With taking away Midyear Mayhem you think they would have been slightly more creative.

They aren't the toughest, but pretty tedious. I'm using night terror x 3 + darloc Brae x4 + night mother x 5 recommended elsewhere in this forum for sneaking. But half the time I just kill everyone anyway bc the rewards aren't that great. My second reward for sacrament today was just one piece of junk armor and nothing else

    +1

Heists/sacraments are incredibly tedious, but at least it doesn't force everyone to complete frustration using the broken grouping tool. That's the main positive I see. Otherwise, this event is just meh.

I have one dedicated thief/murderer and I ain't doing this event either. Double alchemy mats are cool though. I hate those two dailies that give tickets, and I don't do things I don't like doing. I would never torture myself for one stupid mount (like we wouldn't have plenty of them already).

So don't do something you hate doing, it's not worth it. If it would be, you wouldn't complain.

I don't think the rewards are enough of an incentive to do otherwise

Of course it is not enjoyable. It it is just stock do chore, get REWARD type of event, which is easy and cheap to design, yet fairly effective, because a) its time limited nature puts pressure on players, who then participate out of fear of missing out on REWARDs, and b) players mistake getting REWARDs for having fun, but REWARDs really do not make underlying activity any more fun, just like salary does not make a job fun; it simply makes people more or less willing to do it.
With some obligatory cash shop promo on top of it, because "celebration" of paywalled content/feaures is more profitable than celebration of, say, Glenumbra. And core loop must go through the store, that is monetization 101.

The event system with the tickets and feathers for the Indriks is not very well designed in my opinion. Yes, everything is optional, but it's just bad form gifting something and then making people jump through hoops for a whole year for it. Having events so often makes them lose their luster, the fact that the current one happened only a few months ago is complete overkill. Just raising the ticket cap (or removing it entirely) would make things so much better (though not good from ZOS' point of view, since this would null the necessity of logging daily during events).

Seems that we always have an event running. So what makes events special has been lessened as players have become event numb.

    I love this event.

Very short quests, so finished in 10 minutes. This allows me to focus on the "sideeffects": Many new and casual players online now.
I made a million yesterday selling stuff in guildstores, among them an aetheral cipher that I could not sell before.
I spend 10 minutes directly and more than an hour indirectly, crafting, looking through all the stock I have meanwhile, and buying mats I can't farm myself :)

I've never really enjoyed the special events in ESO, except the New Life and Jester's festivals and even they get boring quickly. Doing the exact same things we can do all year round for an extra reward is not a festival to me, I prefer games which actually add unique quests and mini games for their festivals.

Before they introduced the indriks I simply ignored them, now I'm doing whatever I need to do to get the event tickets and ignoring all the rest.
