In one wall of text you accuse them of resisting "reasonable nerfs" because they dont want to learn to play.
Yet in the same post admit you use a counter already in-game and it works. lol
If working counters are already available, who is trully refusing to learn to play and would rather the devs make it broken so they can win?
Irony detected.
No irony, although a severe lack of reading comprehension on your part is definitely detected. That counter works when I'm on a support build. In other builds, I would have to actively harm the build to place it. And the fact that I get so many hate whispers about it clearly means that the majority of gankblades are relying on the fact that most builds would have to harm themselves in order to use the best counterplay. Hence why the gankblades are so outraged about it. They are actively counting on the fact that most counters to what they're doing aren't very viable. So the solution is something like making it them unable to cloak for 5 seconds after attacking out of stealth. That fixes the problem far better than all the whiny gankblades saying incredibly stupid things like " just harm your build and run expert hunter, lol."

Just like the players had to when you countered them.

More dribble. You said in this post, slotting the counter harms your build.

The rest of that wall of text is your imagination.

I seriously doubt that you're actually responding in good faith, but I'll give you an enormous benefit of the doubt and assume that you might be, and spell things out clearly for you. Your response is worthless and pointless, and also delusional. Let's say that there is a necro skill that instakills anyone in stealth within 30 meters of them. It's a passive. But, ZOS puts a skill in the 1h and shield line that negates that specific necro skill. Your response is the equivalent of saying "stealthblades should just run sword and board and put that skill on both bars in order to counter that necro skill" and then when people rightly point out that it's ludicrous for all those stealthblades to harm their builds, you spout off "we found the problem, it's your build."
Not only are you utterly wrong in that case, your input is totally worthless and you completely discredited yourself. And that's what you just did. You either admit that and work towards finding a reasonable solution, or you continue being completely disingenuous and permanently exclude yourself from having any merit in your opinions on the matter whatsoever. This isn't a debate, you're factually wrong here, so you can either address it or have what you say on the matter permanently dismissed.
Make cloak super risk reward.
Give them something like movement speed for the first 4 seconds of cloak give them back the cleanse and keep the crit healing but if they are removed from stealth by a player they can not reenter stealth for x seconds.
There are ways to give them class identity with balance.
Unfortunately this is probably the most polarizing issue on ESO.
killingspreeb16_ESO wrote: »It's useless to try to to have a discussion with cloak hater they just don't listen.
They make a post in the forum about how cloak is OP and demanding nerf and ask how they should be able to counter it and then refuse any tips to how to fight against it.
The game is full of counter one poster did a good job posting many of them and there are more,if cloak need a nerf then some counter for it should be removed aswell. This way cloak is overall weaker if not countered but not useless when you face someone with a bit of skill that know counter for cloak are many and they work.
I will say expert hunter/flare are a bit weak though.

They dont listen because the point of the thread isnt to actually engage in rational discussion. Its meant to be a big waving flag to other players with similar views and attitudes to join in and hope ZOS takes notice. They dont want balance or fairplay. They want to be able to treat the game like a single player game where you can find the most broken OP abilities, slap them on your bar and then everything melts in front of you for the rest of the game. They havent figured out yet that they dont belong in online games.

Expert hunter is only usefull against cloak and to get weapon crit there is a better skill called Green Lotus. So why i should use a skill wich is only good (in theory) against one other skill while cloak is good against nearly everything? Thats not balance at all.
Potions come with a huge cooldown and i need to drop some other important Ressources i could get from that potion. While cloak doesnt have cooldown.... Not viable.
Only spammable skill is steel Tornado. What If i dont want to use DW? Should i switch to another weapon set only to deal with cloaking cowards? While cloak is not tied to any weapon or armor nox Type? Balance my friend. Balance.
Block wont reveal the Nightblade that is waiting in cloak until i am tired, drop block and move on. The He comes fully pre buffed and ganks me.
You mean immovable potions? That give like 12 seconds immunity with 40+ seconds cooldown? Or the heavy armor skill? I think i shouldnt explain to you why this skill is Trash.
Sounds like excuses to me.

All the things listed are viable ways to reveal blades....."I don't want to do x thing or use y skill" is an excuse.
You've been given usable, viable ways to counter. Use them or get ganked...your choice.

The problem with the counter skills is that they work against bad and predictable nightblades, but youll never catch a good player that knows how to utilize the shade + cloak combo.
They can just kite you away from the shade until youre out of detection pot range, port, cloak gone, good luck throwing some caltrops after them but you wont be able to find them.
Cloak + shade gives them the ability to reset fights / run away whenever they feel like, without a cooldown and I dont think that it should be a thing.

Uhh... FYI.
You just decribed a class skill being countered and the player utilizing skill and quick decisions to make up for it.
A better player, better utilizing thier kit, should win the fight. That SHOULD be a thing.
Btw, once cloak is countered, spamming shade does nothing. Resource drain. In fact a 1 second cooldown on shade would be a buff. lol. With lag its often double cast.
khajiitNPC wrote: »I’ve mained a Stam NB since launch. Shadowy disguise has many counters that can be utilitized. When it comes to potatoes blades whether it is mag or stam, you can almost guarantee if you use the MANY counters you can pull them out of stealth. Now the really good NBs, you’ll have a harder time pulling out of stealth. Detect pots are your friend here.
I suggested that NB’s get the streak treatment, the cost of using shadowy disguise increases with each subsequent cast, BUT it would be based on a health threshold, so for example if you’re below a 25 percent health, shadowy disguise will start to increase in cost. Personally as a NB I think it will add a more technical skilled approach to using shadowy disguise. Also it would promote healthier game play.
A good Nightblade knows how to exploit shadowy disguise. And unfortunately as you can tell from the forum most people don’t want to use the tools that exist to keep potatoblades out of stealth, so they won’t ever keep a good NB out of stealth.
While I prefer there not be a nerf, I know one will come. This is a proactive suggestion. People who say they can only cloak a couple of times as a stam blade are either built for one specific thing or aren’t as good as they think they are.
My stamblade can cloak a bunch — I know it must be frustrating for other players that I can totally reset a fight as soon as I get below a certain amount of health. Typically it takes about 4 people to keep me out of stealth. And the idea that one is squishy in medium armor is laughable. Like I said, it takes more than one person to kill me and I only sit at 18k Health. But I run high damage high regen build. My regen sits at about 1200 mag and health, and my stam is 2300, my weapon damage is over 5k fully proc’d.
And this is before I pop a tristat potion.
My only other suggestion is make NB mark 12 seconds. If we want to purge it we need to slot purge from the alliance skill lines. Just my two cents. I know, in b4 not really a NB.
