I really hope that lootbox law comes through sooner than later so this virtual casino BS gets shutdown and ZOS actually has to try to make a good game instead of just relying on whales to spend hundreds of dollars whenever a new crown crate season launches.
Pat yourself on the shoulder when you get that reskinned apex mount after spending 150$ on the new season of crown crates and do it again in 3 months, because thats the only consistent thing ZOS can do, push new seasons of crown crates.
I've finally bought few items from Legendary and lower categories
...And as we're stuck with these crates for another ~3 months, I've decided to spend some more gems:'(
I've made a showcase video for Baandari Pedlar Senche-Lion mounthttps://youtu.be/jNGDKz6Ory4
You can see all movement and hear all sounds of this mount, so you can decide if it's worth buying.
In my opinion, it's the absolute worst Apex effect we've ever had so far :'( I know I've said it already about Hollowjack and Dragonscale Apexes... but this time, it's much worse.
It has no summoning animation. It has no special effect at all, except for glowing compass in the rider's hand. When it roars, there is no additional effect at all - the rider just raises the compass in the air
And it has the voice of ordinary lion mount (well, at least it's loud, unlike Indigo senche who uses voice of ordinary senche).
I've also made showcase video for Blazeborn Senche-Lion mount:https://youtu.be/Vtlr1N2LJoc
As always, you will see all movement and hear all sounds which it makes
I like fiery roar effect and armor... Well, that's really it
It has summoning animation, it leaves paw-prints. It has decent effect during the roar.
But it doesn't emit any light, even though after reading it's description, I expected this creature to light the darkest night :'(
It doesn't leave any special trail or gain any special long-lasting aura after the roar - just fiery explosion.
It has, again, the voice of ordinary lion.
And it costs 600 gems - too high price for another example of not excellent quality (additionally to all said above, the texture on this senche's body is not great, and it has some gray areas on rear legs and under the tail)
I have to admit, it looks just right in the lava

This is why zos does not hear us when it comes to performance issues ....I'm starting to get fed up of forums. I dont understand how people can be so exited over cosmetics and keep spending their cash on this trash heap of code
Hey If you enjoy the game then just have fun I know my self I have spent a little over $5000 over the last 5 years of this game and just spent $250 today because I enjoy the game even with everything wrong with it I still play it so why be upset with people who spend there own money it's not like it's your money

Erm, he literally never said that. Stop putting words in his mouth and then getting offended over what he didn't even sayOh shut up. If someone doesn’t engage with any of the many systems besides solo questing, they’re not even remotely a good indicator of game performancebarney2525 wrote: »ClawOfTheTwoMoons wrote: »How can people throw money at loot boxes knowing the game is in a *** poor state? This is exactly what I don't understand. People are spending money for cosmetic items that are trapped in a virtual world that will one day be gone and even while it still runs... runs like trash.
No different than me buying clothes.
You're trapped in a virtual world and run like trash?
I could be wrong, but I think they are saying everything has an expiration date, regardless if it is a virtual item or a physical one. So yes, believe it or not there are tons of people who place a value on cosmetics that they will someday never have access to again. We are concerned with enjoying the content today, not what will happen to that content most likely years down the road.
Not that hard to understand.
Edit- the game doesn't run like trash for everyone, keep that in mind when criticizing why someone else does something you don't understand.
The game runs like trash for anyone actually playing it, not the casual quest-only, solo-only, no PvP, no real PvE players. Except the main questline is still bugged out, and daily quests still have bugs, and quest enemies still phase in an out, and the quest mobs still rubberband and prevent looting.
This isn’t about “looking down on someone’s purchases”, it’s about people knowingly supporting a game that has yet to provide decent communication about the immense about of problems that are occurring in their game, much less do anything to fix those glaringly awful issues.
No, the game doesn't run like trash for everyone who is playing. But let's continue to trash players for supporting a game that works for them anyway.
"For anyone actually playing it". If you're a casual player, solo player, no pvp player your not a real pve player. How rude. Not surprised, this board is all doom and gloom full of individuals who look down on anyone who doesn't have the same experience.
You’re the one claiming the game is fine when anyone past casual quester is facing gamebreaking issues
Over all I though these and the previous crates were pretty weak.
There are a few good items, the moons and whispering claw emotes, the compass furniture item, senche kitten and prong eared cat.
Good returning items like raz pet and queens eye outfit.
The radiant and apex mounts feel a little lack luster. Legendary rewards too aside from the above mentioned items.

do you ever go out to eat? by takeout food not for basic sustenance, but as a treat? or better yet, ever go to a movie theater? its the same idea. none of those things last, they are temporary pleasures, but they are fun while you are enjoying them.
don't get me wrong - performance IS an issue that needs to be fixed. but for a lot of people enjoying the shinies, the most glaring issues with performance, don't really affect them as much. at least when enjoying aforementioned shinies.
That's just wrong. People who spend money on the Crown Store don't need to 'go play another game.' In fact we wouldn't even have a game to play without them. So you can thank them for ESO's continued existence. You're welcome. This is a fighting game right? By that I mean we dont level by changing mounts or gear correct?ClawOfTheTwoMoons wrote: »How can people throw money at loot boxes knowing the game is in a *** poor state? We run around and kill stuff to gain xp/ap.
No disrespect meant but if you wanna play dress up with barbies please go play another game.
We shouldn't be dying from trash because they dont render or my skills aren't firing. Defend them if you want but pushing out more crap while a huge chunk of the population is experiencing performance issues is ridiculous and plain wrong.
They are alienating their loyal customers to make a quick buck.

That indigo senche leopard is just wow...

I don't disagree that the gaming industry has become greedy. But this discussion has nothing to do with gambling or defending lootboxes. If someone spent 10k crowns on direct purchases of shiny ponies people would have the same issue of 'how dare you spend money on something you're interested in while parts of the game that I'm inderested in don't work'. It would still be the same complaint of 'omg you shouldn't throw money at a broken game'. And it would still be ridiculous.MartiniDaniels wrote: »You won't believe but gaming exists outside of few dozens of AAA games everybody is buzzing around. Just open Steam and look. About obvious examples - Starcraft. I bet it will still be played when ESO will be shut-down. About maintenance costs of servers which service to millions of subscribers.. it is high, but not that high. I worked in mobile networks for 10 years, average pay per user was like half of ESO sub, but amount of infrastructure is colossal in comparison to ESO's as well as number of personnel. 40k personnel, up to 50k physical sites with equipment, hundreds of servers and all that was payed off with half of ESO sub and remained highly profitable and allowed to replace all equipment including god damn servers each 2-3 years. Yeah number of subs was like 150 mil, but if you divide that number of servers in 15 times it still be much more hardware then 4 "megaservers".Perhaps because they're old and require the server capacity of a potato? No idea which games you mean but I'm pretty sure that there are an equal number of examples that got shut down in the meantime because they weren't generating enough revenue, or had to shift from a sub-based game to a micro-transaction-driven one.MartiniDaniels wrote: »^ Just wondering how all those dozens of old multiplayer games without crown stores are still alive and kicking with a very modest purchase price.
I think gaming industry just became to greedy, and they became greedy exploiting god damn gambling of loot boxes. Idk why you are protecting this.
And it's funny that you should mention gaming outside of AAA games then bring up... StarcraftIt's also doubtful that keeping a 20-year-old RTS running involves the same load as a freaking 5-year-old MMO. Show me current MMOs that are buy to play like ESO and manage to live off of subs without microtransactions. And sure, if that model works out for someone ZOS should look into it and adopt that. But come on. There is also a huge difference between just keeping a server running and paying for constant content updates.
