Necro bounty system is bad.

Since people LOVED the lore friendly bounty system for necromancer class I suggest we implement more lore friendly/RP additions to the game!
Here is a suggestion. Since Tamriel is in a state of war between alliances I say we make all pve zones pvp zones so that players can really feel immersed when entering an enemy alliance territory to quest!! This will add so much to the rp element of the game!

While we are at it, killable guards. All the guards being immortal is very unimmersive. Why even have brave adventurers when the guards can't die? Players should be able to loot and pillage the towns.

I think how all the NPC's react disgusted and what not is cool. But I feel the bounty/getting attacked by guards is excessive and not fun.

The system is GREAT and amazing and I want them to expand it to include sorc pets as well. Keep your evil stuffs out of my towns.

But if you hate evil stuff so much, you should delight in forcing them to do good things against their will. Not only that but having to obey mortals like us is a fate worse than death for daedra. A real enemy of evil would summon more of them.
Edit; This is a serious topic that impacts gameplay though, if we are okay with this then why not have a class be intentionally OP because it fits with the lore of the class to be stronger than the others?

Oh, don't misunderstand me. My motives have nothing to do with lore at all. I will do anything to get sorc pets out of towns and this is as good a route as any to try and get that to happen. Every day some flappy flap is on top of my writ turnin or crafting station. That has to stop. As players seem incapable of putting them away of their own free will, a lore related enforcement method is as good as any.

Necro pets won't have that problem since they are temporary. So we agree, put that bounty on warden and sorc pets, remove from necro. It seems to be people don't know HOW to put warden and sorc pets away, I have seen people ask how to dismiss them quite a few times, the system is not very good with that, there is no dismiss pet in this game unlike other MMO pet classes. (Take the pet skill off your bar to dismiss your pets for anyone reading this who doesn't know how.)

Hit "C", look toward the bottom for active effects, right click pets.

Make sorc summons illegal as well. Solved.

Ok but like, that doesn’t help console users who still have no idea how to do that

Expand it to ALL classes, make it a decree from on high.

'From this day day forth all fighting/casting and summoning of any type will be made illegal on Nirn.

So basically let Daedra take over- brilliant.

If you choose to be a Necromancer, you're basically an outlaw... Necromancers are normally found in dark caves, raising the dead and doing other nefarious things. When they go out in public they pretend they aren't Necromancers.

Remember the MAGES GUILD OUTLAWED Necromancy.... so they are all in hiding... it's illegal!!

Think about the villagers too and the common-folk who don't fight creatures let alone the undead like we do,... it'll completely freak them out if they see a skeleton being raised from the dead! Think of the people man!!!

If you don't want to get a bounty, don't be summoning exploding skeletons in the middle of town.
This adds flavor to the game. Wish they'd do the same for summoning daedra with Sorcerers.

I’ve gotten so many bounties from accidentally summoning in town, but it’s usually a fun little chase to get away from the guards so I’m happy with necro staying as-is.

Really doesn'T bother me at all, hapens once in a while by mistkae, but i simply let myself killed and that's it, if you'Re not playing a rogue, which a NB would make more sens, what does it matter? You res right where you are, no need to run to your corpse, no need to rush before your gear loot on death disapear or somene steals it, in otehr words, don't spam skill for nothing in town or don't duel in middle of town where people want piece and quiet and voilà :) I personaly would fuckign freak out if smeone would come i my town and res deads in front of me :)

Went through the entire base game of Tamriel's MQs along with Vvardenfelland I'm currently working Summerset. I've only had ONE issue with my undead pets and that was a certain vampire in Rivenspire tattled on me like a spoiled brat.

That's literally the ONLY issue I had. I wouldn't even say it's much of an issue being that I did it more out of a test. Since being vampire = KoS according to the lore, it's not a stretch that they'd tattle to provide a more 'innocent' cover.

I'm all in favor of making vampirism, lycanthropy, sorc pets, and excessive spell/ability usage outside of combat in towns illegal.

Adding flavour to the game is exactly the reason it is implemented this way. If you look at the trajectory of the whole series, the elements of the game have continued to be simplified as the series progresses and in a lot of ways that has really damaged the quality of the series. The justice system was a good implementation because it added a layer to the game that is inherent to the series and is a part of the dimensions that give elder scrolls it's character. You commit crimes, you have consequences.

I don't think they should be taking these things out. But I do think they may need to work on the system to give it more character. And be more user friendly. For instance why not give necromancers some sort of way to escape bounty similar to the footpad, and implement locations like "lairs" or "covens" which operate as towns where necromancers can practice. Maybe include additional passive bonuses that reduce bounties faster as well.

Being charged with offense for summoning lesser daedra is not in consistency with lore, as daedra tend to be viewed as worker minions as I understand it. Although perhaps summoning a storm atronach (not sure where elementals fall). It depends on what point this is in the lore as magic really wasn't seriously opposed until after the Oblivion crisis. Magic at this point may be increasingly reviled but it is not outlawed.

My line might be moving on this issue. I started at, "OMG who gives AF", and have moved to, "wow, I mash buttons in towns more than I realized and 277 gold each time starts to add up." Haha

Right it's something you didn't and still don't have to think about with any other class

many people including me and many of my friends enjoy duelling in towns around wayshrines

no, we don't want to go into the forest and duel there, since random people won't start joining us, while around wayshrines people constantly come, watch, and start duelling too

if several people duelling around hurt your fps and game performance that much, I advice to consider buying a new PC, it's not that expensive

I summoned a blast bones to kill a scorpion (guarding a lore book) that happened to be a little too close to a settlement. I got a bounty, I also had to run from the guards. It really isn't that big of a deal . I just paid it at the thieves den next chance I got.

I actually like the mechanic and I support the developers direction towards making the class more immersive and unique.
    Playing since beta...

It's kind of annoying, for immersion purposes it's nice I guess. I feel like the same effect can be achieved just by the dialogue you get when u cast a necro ability. Everyone usually freaks out and shames or berates you, that's enough immersion for me imo. I was questing in deshann and there was a quest where I had to challenge some guards and due to my muscle memory I cannot do a rotation without firing off a BB. So of course since its overland content the enemy I targeted died in 1 second which made my bb
target random locals that had just turned agressive from the bounty and since BB isnt affected by prevent attacking innocents.... 5k bounty later...yayyy immersion!

Yes well that's true, but I think removing it is not the answer, it has a lot of potential for going somewhere as a concept but it needs to provide some sort of flip side or benefit to rationalize why it is happening.
