Because of the lag I don't know what I'm targeting, ive bow ult'd so many engine guardians and meteored so many winged twighlights.
Don't get me started on setting up a spectral bow burst kill and pooping it straight into the atro.
Terrible targeting system, lag is that bad I hit what I targeted a few seconds ago.

    As promised.

Yep, tab target is totally a viable counter to targeting shenanigans, dunno what you guys are talking about. /s

If only 3rd person targeting worked as well as 1st person targeting, which works fine.

    LMFAO!

LOS is NOT the primary reason sorcs run pets. But go off I guess.

On those rare occasions I run into another mag sorc, I don't have any major issues hitting the sorc in the middle of his zoo. It does take some effort and some re-positioning sometimes, but you guys are massively exaggerating the problems.

    Hyperbole aside...

Pets de-stealth, heal, act as foils and shields, and can hit for 4-6k against medium resistance targets (I assume with DP activated but I don't run them in PVP). A resto staff boost would not compensate for that. Happy to see the math, though.

A suggestion was made in another thread to make sorc pets on timer but one button only. That makes a lot of sense as a compromise.

As for resto staff upgrade -- I'd love it. So keep pushing :)

Nothing makes sub par players think they are good and act like False Gods moreso than being their sorc with their pets, shields, pets with shields and their ranged execute spamming on anyone in the area that doesn't have a full health bar.

Is there a way I can’t toggle off attacking pets because one of the most frustrating things with fighting sorcs is that their pets are in the way and we target them instead (that’s the point of sorcs using them I know)

There should be an option to not target sorcs like we can’t toggle off attacking innocents.

Either that or give the necromancer skeletal mage and wraith a health bar and let people attack them too -.-

    This drives me nuts too.

@ZOS_GinaBruno this is a serious issue, and a really solid solution proposed by the OP

So basically, you want the game to be skilled in your stead ? If you had no clue, I'd explain, but you KNOW that pets are meant to shield their master, so basically you're just making another "nerf sorc" thread...

If you know anything able elder scrolls the “pets” are conjurations and their primary objective as stated on the tooltip, is to ATTACK the enemy not to defend the caster.
They don’t heal the caster and then standing in the way as human shields is very unlike winged twilights.

A frost atronach maybe I understand but not the offsneive conjurations so please close that mouth before you spout nonsense

I mean you can't really expect anyone to take you serious when you're a pet sorc defending pet sorcs and claiming they're rare when everyone sees them everywhere. I don't think the problems are exaggerated. Its easily the strongest build in the game. I run sorc often and I would give anything for pets to be removed and replaced with sensible skills. I don't enjoy having to feel cheesy just to get a healing skill from the matriarch

If pets are meant to be hidden behind while sorcs kite Cyro like gods then it's a serious design flaw lol

Then what would be the point of playing them? The entire point is to make us attaking them

The targeting system need improuvement sure like only targeting the pet if you actually target it (at least to the point were it would be debatable if yes or no you were targeting them and not the player 3meter left )

Wrong, it is the easiest build in the game. It was the only magicka build that could keep up with stamina, because of the damage/utility that the pets supply.
