✭✭Picking up gear in the Summerset tutorial.
You might have missed it because you would get a lot of players, starting out with the mindset of picking up everything, leaving little gear/weapons available for others doing the Summerset tutorial, since most just rush through it, before gear/weapons re-spawns, you end up unlocking weapon/armor skill lines later on.
That's one of the good things about the Elsweyr tutorial, you don't have to share the tutorial instance with others.
Either that or I usually make a full set of training gear for alts and just put it in the bank for the new character to put on right at the start.1 -

✭obviously i can't remember when i got first belt from random overland mob lol, but im sure i know my first set belt and it was purple SPC which i still use on main character.0 -
Unij✭✭✭You can steal belts from baskets and desks. But when I started to play I had problems to find trousers. I used level 15 trousers till I reached CP 200 or so. And later found legs motif pages always last.Main char is a Strong Nord Man, Thief, Vampire, Healer, Mastercrafter. PC-EU since 2016.1 -

✭One does not simply get a belt, you need to earn it.
To get your first belt, a white one, you need to win an unarmed combat against a mudcrab.

✭✭✭✭✭You get them as drop from various enemies, humanoids has highers drop chance. This also tend to be better versions with enchants and set bonuses.
Later on you will craft it or get some to craft for you so you can get two 5 piece sets with training trait.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
