It could be possible, that you may do damage to your account

(as new data writes to the sever when you log in) if you login past any banner?

I know it's tempting but I'd hold off logging in just yet people. The server might be 'open' but its probably just being tested and could get rolled back - so if you log in now, you might lose everything you gain. Hang tough and wait for the official announcement.
