I'm pretty sure for a lot of the more "enthusiastic" complaints, ESO is a major part of their lives. Its one of the few, if not the only game they play and its a big part of their daily routine. So when something disrupts that, they lash out like they've been wronged.

I may be wrong, but its a logical reason that i understand.

I just want to thank the ESO crew for working so hard on this awesome game. I've done my share of complaining about the bugs, glitches, mechanics, etc. over the past few months (years?). And though things can get frustrating at times I still really love the game -- a lot. Anyway, I know there are a ton of people working hard behind the scenes to make the game as pleasant and operational as possible and I really do appreciate their efforts. Please accept my apologies. If I do find a problem or issue in the future I'll try to present my case in a more pleasant, patient, and adult manner.

You have my full respect. We all get frustrated sometimes, it's the nature of gaming. I too have complained and later felt bad about it cause i do care about our mods and devs and I do appreciate all the work they do to bring us an amazing, phenomenal game. Zos devs have families and lives outside of eso too.. im sure they love what they do but it's still work.

😊Thank you for this post op😊

and this OP post is one of reasons why ZOS is not going to fix many old bugs etc
for what they need to go for fixes when their rp casual white knights still congratulate them for doing great job about ESO even if ESO isnt in jsut good state, its just in horrible state outside RP and people still congratulate ZOS for doing their work...

and then there is surprise ZOS is doing literally nothing to make game better with playing in veteran pve content and especially pvp, with patch to patch it is getting worse and worse even when ZOS is creating more new content for veteran, exp players but performance in this content is *** enough as it is unplayable for many at all outside rp'ing

thanks players that much defending ZOS we cant have working properly ESO which itself is great game but thanks to ZOS its just *** game to most most people outide rp'ing

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/482293/this-is-eso/p1

everything mentioned in this thread 1st post is perfectly aimed and described and many of those problems are currently for years in this game and there is still many people so greatfull for ZOS work at ESO because they jsut dont play this content and ignore all of playerbase playing this content *cough*whit knights*cough*

thats why I hate that much community of this game
because doesnt matter how old, stale, moldy, rotten food ZOS will give tot heir playerbase, there would be always much louder those "white knights" greatful for this and congratulating to ZOS how great this *** is!

To be fair, both sides (the Pro and Anti-Zos posters) can be equally as dramatic. While I generally agree with you, there are valid criticisms being made that are lost among the noise.

True. My point is that we need to present our issues in an adult manner instead of yelling and screaming like Kindergartners. Will we get a better response from ZOS if we present our cases covered with honey or are we better off covering them with vinegar?

I simply think that we need to put ourselves in the shoes of others. How do we like to be treated in any given situation? It's the old: "do unto others as we'd have them do unto us."

It's 2019. When I was 7, they told me that we'd all be holidaying on the moon in 2003. Obviously, we'd ended all wars and world hunger before then. Point is, this stuff should all work flawlessly now, for everyone.

    Just more unfulfilled promises.

I do wish the people who are really dissatisfied with the game would consider taking a step away for a while (at least).... If a product isn’t performing... stop wasting your time with it.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that people who don’t even play anymore keep coming and commenting on the forums. While there’s nothing wrong with that, I don’t really understand why they feel the need to do this.... (rhetorical question btw)....

Honestly this is the best advice, delivered constructively it is honestly the best solution to frustrations. I think it's important to understand the game isn't the player's creation, it has a lot of complexities that may seem frustrating but are maybe just misunderstood, and it also takes a lot of effort to solve some problems that are definitive problems. Stepping back and reframing thoughts constructively before spewing them on the forums can have a lot more positive impact (as I have been very much a doorknob in my posts and can tell you this has been a good approach). I know I have fallen for the trap of expecting the game to be something it isn't, and it's better to find an outlet to help improve problems constructively or step back entirely.

The devs do lots of good work on this game, there is a lot going on, remember they are people and they need encouragement too. But even when there are problems, they have always been able to deliver a worthwhile experience on different levels. Honour them for that. I know for all the complaining I have done, I am grateful for the wonderful play experience I have had in many ways. And I mean... The game will get better if they are passionate about their work, right? So help them be passionate about their work.

Edit; oh yes and the other advice I'd say is, go fishing, it will help you understand.. they do think about the details.

We are currently investigating issues some players are having regarding logging into the European PC/Mac megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available.
    Right after patching the game.
When the community is so worn off and exhausted by the fact they never got to play consistently at an acceptable level of game performance, right after Elsweyr (and to be honest for allmost a couple of years now).

    And you guys thank them...
I only thank ZOS for proving our point here once again, with the tonight's farce...

tbh, ZOS made a gigantic game, with DOZENS of quest, dungs, delves, and whatnot.
I'm totally ok with the current state of the game, since most software projects of this size usually are doomed. For that, its fraking solid.

Thank you ZOS! Never listen to those haters as long as your creative guys (authors, graphic artist, programmers and even the facility and cleaning staff at your offices) like what they do!

And my 2 cents for the fix-eso-or-we-hate-you-guys:

Basically ZOS built a great city on top of a landfill, and the garbage is starting to stink. The solution would be to remove the garbage (aka code) and clean it up, but city planners advised the costs were too high and residents will continue paying taxes anyways.

5 YEARS AGO (and did you say "dozens" really?)

They did that 5 YEARS AGO, and the first time htey had to repair the game entirely because they messed it up and that took a year.

We aren't going to praise them for stuff they did 5 YEARS AGO.
