✭✭✭You'll get a quest that deals with argonian eggs, if you're in Ebonheart.
I don't want npc kids in the game, for the most part. Either they have to be invincible or some kind of mechanic has to be in the game to prevent them being killed. With the mentality of some players, having kids around would be a very bad idea.0 -

Ysbal✭I hope they bring in children, in multiple age groups, at some point. There're cradles all over the place in the Covenant areas at least, it'd be nice to have little sprogs running around or having babies/toddlers in the baby beds. They'd certainly add to the atmosphere and believability of the world.
And they're a source of more quests. Save the child, save mommy, brother threw Teddy into a cave filled with monsters please save him, etc.1 -

That place was enough to put me off devs putting kids in games.
Fortunately I played it on PC and some lovely modder made it possible for me to remove that blight from my game with a minigun.

All npcs. Or did you mean only peaceful npcs can't be killed? Unless you're in Cyrodiil, every enemy you kill in pve is a npc.
Generally peaceful npcs aren't targets. That doesn't mean someone wouldn't be complaining about it. For Fallout3 and Skyrim it was said there would be no way to kill kids. People still whined and complained. Even though the topic wasn't allowed on the forums, people still whined and complained. And the posts about the mods and how people killed the kids always showed up at some point, like the above.

Frimbertrips✭✭Would'a helped if kids in Skyrim weren't taking annoyance lessons from the adoring fan. In any case:
1. MMO kids aren't kill-able. So I don't see an issue.
2. ESO NPC don't constantly try to banter at you like idiots that make you want to kill them. The game is all about being a homicidal/genocidal maniac; minor annoyances make us want to murder non-essential characters. Its normal.
3. There's always going to be someone, somewhere who just wants to kill pixelated stuff. if we can't kill it, we move on and we step over the people who can't. Simple as that.
Add some children, foals, etc. Won't hurt, adds immersion, and no one who matters cares about the "potential" controversy of people going "wah wha why can't I stab little girls?" because the rest of us don't care so long as it cant actually be done. Only people who jump on that junk/respond to it are the people who want to start drama.0 -
Discussions such as this always bother me, why is it ok and acceptable to kill men and women of a multitude of races yet killing children is somehow different? Killing is killing, pixels or no pixels. If it's an issue, if it somehow bothers you then this game and many like it may not be for you. I don't see a moral issue here, personally i guess that is. Killing is bad, obviously but when you come to play a game and on the forefront of the game is killing it's something you accept or maybe even relish.
I just don't understand the distinction placed between adults and kids. It's all the same.0 -
