The building capabilities were nice, to be sure. I built a beautiful dueling arena over the water, only to be disappointed when I realized that ground AOEs didn’t work.
Frostvault Cavern fortunately does not have this problem. 1 -

The only thing I ever had in it was a training dummy and a few storage chests, but moved that all to Rimmen because that house is in an actual city near crafting and vendors. I would never buy a house priced that high. I think they would sell a lot more houses in general if the prices weren't so crazy - but then, I'm not sure how many they sell right now. Could be going like hotcakes for all I know.1

✭✭✭No, I got it last yearIt is really starting to rub me the wrong way how ZOS put the villa in the Crown Store for such a high price rather than running another community wide event. The Summerfall event brought the entire community together since it spanned across all platforms, encouraged players to help each other (via ports to wayshrines), and brought about a sense of collective accomplishment when the goals were reached.
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_SarahHecker are there plans to do another community wide event similar to the Summerfall event? This was such a missed opportunity since there's a large amount of new players due to the Elsweyr release who weren't around for the Summerfall event last year. This would have been such a great opportunity to get the community involved again and to expose the newer players to Summerset while also giving them the same rewards the community received last year.
Putting the villa in the Crown Store for $150 when it was free last year doesn't help to combat the "ZO$" image that many players have towards the company. MMORPG's are fundamentally built around community. This was a missed opportunity.Edited by Suddwrath on June 28, 2019 1:05PM4 -

That's something I've always wondered about: I look at the prices and think that I had to turn crazy to spend that much on a house in a game (and one that is not particularly geared toward housing, at that), but the fact that they keep on releasing a ton of big houses, very few little ones and none at all medium sized makes me think that those huge manors sell, after all.PC EU

The furnished one is a lot of EMPTY lol, so much space with nothing. I'd like to have one but I don't see how it could be decorated properly with the current furnishing limits. I could do just the exterior of it and hit that count and I'm ESO+0 -

Either you got it for free or you didn’t participate and you didn’t. You can’t complain if you didn’t do it, and the price is in line with other houses. You don’t have to buy it. You just want it and are mad about the price. It’s the same with any item for sale. Either it’s worth the price to you or it isn’t. Do you walk into retail stores and rant out loud about how the prices are? It came completely unfurnished for free."Get off my lawn!"7 -

Nah, it would be more honest to simply keep it off the marked permanently. It was an event reward, if you weren't around for said event you can't get it. That's fair, this is just a money grab. Especially when you consider that there are severla large houses permanantly off the marked.0 -

I want more medium sized houses, that an individual adventurer can call their comfortable home. Small enough for their furnishing limit to still fill them adequately, but large enough to get a decent number of slots.1 -

As it is I got it for free, along with most of us, so I really don't give a flying whatever that it's now in the Crwon Store. Everyone had the opportuntiy to acquire it last year, and if they didn't, more fool them. You can't blame ZO$ for trying to cash in on those that didn't bother or just missed it.2 -
