Never been able to research jewelry

One toon is a master crafter with most crafts maxed with most passive points applied (all for research) and never had a problem researching any other craft, but she has never been able to research jewelry. I don't know if I'm missing something that needs to be done? All the other crafts were researchable as she leveled and I thought maybe jewelry had to be level 50 before research was enabled, but still no research. She has several pieces of the exemplary infused jewelry that say they are specifically for researching. What am I missing?

    You have to own or have access (through ESO plus) to Summerset.

    If you can use the jewelry crafting table, are the items locked?

    Not sure if it is tied into the jewelry crafting training.

    Don't forget that Summerset is not a DLC and you must buy it, it is not included in ESO+.

    "As of today, Summerset is available in the Crown Store and part of ESO Plus for PC players - this will happen for console players on June 4 with that release. Enjoy! (May 20th)"

    Found that in another thread, so it is available through ESO plus. OP, did you do the intro quest for jewelry crafting? There's a quest for it just outside the craft area in the main city (I can't recall the name).

    That speeds research up. It doe not not allow it. Neither does becoming certified in jewelry crafting. This is undoubtedly related to ownership of or access to Summerset.

    As I said, I have purchased ALL of the ESO content and am a plus member.
    I've purchased Summerset as part of the Online Collection (Morrowind and Summerset).
    I've put all the points in for jewelry except for keen eye.
    I've been playing a little over a year and jewelry is the only craft I've never been able to research.

    You can research any trait at any level same as all the other crafts, you do not need to be a particular level before you can research it, you do not need to be certified to do writs to research. You just need to be at a jewelry crafting table, have Summerset and an item of jewelry with an unknown trait.

    You cannot research an item if it is locked.

    I don’t think we’ll be able to help without more info. Would you be able to screenshot an item (showing the trait) that is eligible to be researched, followed by a screenshot of what you see at the crafting station?

    also, any jewelry piece from *before* summerset originally dropped is invalid for research. Depending on what you're trying to research, that might be the problem.

    Thats not true. I used the old jewelry for research but they were not deconstructable. So either research it or sell to merchant.

    @RoxSn pls make sure you have jewelry with trait in your bag, check if the jewelry is locked or not (you can't research locked jewelry). Unlock it if it was. You can research also other traits, not only infused. Maybe you have learned infused already? Also you don't need this special jewelry for research, any jewelry with a trait you don't know will work. Try different traits, maybe it's a problem with the infused jewelry, and it will work with other traits.
