So, about 2 months ago I'm in daggerfall, doing some decon and research when I spot a lvl 10 in nothing but boots! Testing if it's a bot, I whisper 'nice threads, loving the boots' - - player replied with a winky face and a lol. As a joke I offer to trade and give them 10k gold. I whispered to spend or save, but either way have fun.
Fast forward to last night, Coa 1, vet pledge. After the end boss, the tank offers me to trade and gives me Bsw flame staff! Doesn't want gold... Just whispers: 'for my new pants' . Then drops group.

Betty_Booms✭✭✭Haha. Love it. Me and a DK were farming BC1. I was getting Sanc gear and he was trying to get the all elusive sanc lightning staff.
He had been at it for two weeks. I managed to get all the gear I wanted and felt sorry for him so I stayed and continued grinding runs with him.
I remember him saying i can feel it, its going to drop soon and sure enough it dropped for me after a few more runs...was happy to hand it over to the poor guy.
Maybe I should go run some COA now lol.

✭✭✭✭✭Awesome indeed! Since all my characters are CP810, fully built and well-provisioned, I figure any player I see near a mat node needs it more than I. In fact, my elf is pretty good at dodge rolling away from a mat even if she's already begun to harvest it if she sees another player approaching. So she intentionally yields a lot of mats nodes and almost makes a minigame out of it. The karma thing is that, more often than not, after she yields something like an imp stool node, she routinely finds something better (like columbine) right around the next rock or so.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo4 -

✭✭✭✭✭I have a character that is permanently in the Wailing Prison. I’ve used my portable banker to bring in crafted training sets for people I’ve met in there, giving them a temporary boost on the quest to level 50. I haven’t run into any of them afterwards, but did get some saying they would “pay it forward” and help someone else. If you help out others, it makes them more likely to be helpful too. Sure, I run into the occasional jerk in the game, but overall I think the community is good.it kind of mirrors what I see in real life. It’s easy to think everyone’s a jerk, but they just stand out. Yes, some guy cut you off at a freeway exit because they didn’t want to wait in line, but you are surrounded by people who did."Get off my lawn!"8 -

What many people forget is that in online gaming, especially mmo, we are all part of someone else' story and experience.
I bet we all have some tales to tell of ingame unexpected kindness/helpfulness... And equally of vitriol and nastiness.
The problem is we're almost hard wired to put more emphasis on the latter.
I think a detox through posts on random kindness could be a nice purge of negativity. Would love to read more.4
