Jewelry Crafting in the base game?

Hello everyone!

Last year, Battlegrounds, originally accessible for players with Morrowind chapter, have been made public and accesible for everyone. Alongside with this change, battlegrounds got minor tweaks and more maps.

Does anybody know if the same is planned for JWC, Summerset only feature?

Hypothetical questions:
Do you think that jewellery should drop in every possible trait and not only in healthy/arcane/robust trait once JWC would be in base game?

    Summerset, with Jewelry crafting included, is now a DLC. It is apparently not becoming a base game feature.

    So without summerset or ESO+ you can not access jewlery crafting stations?

    The jewelry crafting qualification quest guy is in summerset so you need access to him to start doing jewelry daily crafting quests.

    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    I think issue with Battlegrounds was that the ability to even do the content is dependent on other players having access to Battlegrounds. With Battlegrounds locked behind Morrowind, there was a pretty small pool of players queuing for them. Wait times were long, you were always getting your face smashed in by the same handful of elite pre-made groups, etc. The health of Battlegrounds became dependent on getting more players in there. People paying for access to Battlegrounds only to struggle to even get a group to play them was becoming a serious problem for ZOS. Giving away Battlegrounds for free was only way to prevent Battlegrounds from slowly but surely dying.

    There is no such concern with Jewelry Crafting. Your ability to do Jewelry Crafting is not dependent on 11 other people who own Summerset wanting to do Jewelry Crafting at same time. Keeping Jewelry Crafting locked behind Summerset is not stopping anyone who wants to do Jewelry Crafting from doing it. I think this is why Battlegrounds went base game but Jewelry Crafting is still locked behind Summerset.

    I see and understand your point.

    There are 3 issues with JWC, not as grave as it was with BGs, but making it into the base game, thus accesible for every player, could solve some of them.
    1. Overprized platings
    2. As a result, players not doing JWC writs.
    3. Gaining Jewellery item with specific trait only possible via Transmutation, which is supposed to be the last way to gain desired trait on an item.

    I don't think that it is necessary, for the reasons @Dagoth_Rac brought up, but its integration into the overall game could be drastically improved. If you look at all the crafting professions in the game, jewelry is a pink zebra in a herd of brown horses. It doesn't fit in at all. Putting the certification NPC in all region capitals and adding all traits to normal drops might go a long way to resolving that.
