I don't recall seeing it actually rain ingame or if so not on a frequent basis. Would add an extra element of realism IMO.

I do not think Cyrodiil has weather or a day/night cycle. But overland PvE zones do. Oddly, though, I believe weather is client side. I think it can be gloomy and rainy in Rawl'kha for you but bright and sunny for player standing next to you.

As others have confirmed there is rain in game. It has no actual effect on our game play and it should not. Also, iirc, it is local so you might see raid but your buddy next to you does not.

At that, there may be an issue for those that play at lower graphic settings where they do not actually see the rain. I have not tested this but someone who plays on low settings might be able to confirm it either way.

Yes, this is exactly what happens. I used to run events quite a bit for a guild and I would set the scene for folks before beginning with references to the in-game weather. After a while if doing this, someone finally had the courage to point out to me that while I was describing a sunny, pastoral setting they were seeing rain. It definitely put a crimp on my delivery and narrative style for that event, lemme tell ya... I couldn't talk about the weather.

Go to Glenumbra, esp. the northern areas. I hate that zone because of its depressing gloomy raininess.

I have seen rain, but unlike games like FF14 where your character reflects getting wet from rain by looking wet, I do not think that same mechanic applies to ESO. I of course could be wrong, but I have never noticed my characters appearance change when she get's rained on.

I once noticed at some point that I had a permanent rain in Cyrodill one day, it was raining all the time even inside keeps. But then again I wasn't suprised at all, it's one of the least weird things that happened in cyro in EU server.

There’s everything in the game when it comes to weather, I just witnessed a sand storm in Elsweyr yesterday and it was AMAZING. I love environmental effects in video games, even when they’re just visual/cosmetic.

You see most of the rain effects looking down at the ground or puddles. There are some zones where it seems like it rains all the time, and others, not so much.

General Rule, the greener the zone, the more often it rains.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I swear it rains for me constantly. My first day into Elsweyr, while I'm in the middle of a Desert, it rained like four times in the same hour.

I've seen rain within the courtyard of Ravenhurst. Can't recall seeing it anywhere else.

Come to think of it, have I seen snow falling in ESO? Damned if I can remember.

    Going to pay attention now.
