Rep grind is fun? I mean, sure we already do dailies because of achievements but... rep grind and fun shouldn't be in the same thought process.Ash_In_My_Sujamma wrote: »TumlinTheJolly wrote: »Lord of the Rings Online implemented this with their store currency, and it made achievement hunting much more fun. Sure. But wouldn't it be more fun if there were factions with reputation in game with unlockable rewards?

Grind is a part of mmos though. And a reason people prefer this genre over other. Also the game has so many areas that are not used atm and the lore allows so many ethical and rp choices to be taken by players. So why not? We are grinding for exp, cp, gold and ap already. Why not some cool rewards from rep as well? I mean I 'd rather getting my pets, mounts and costumes fro reputation achievements than from login daily rewards.
I don't mind grinding, but generally I've never found rep grinds fun. MMO games should be finding ways to make the grind more enjoyable, not just creating more grinds and rewards at the end of it.Ash_In_My_Sujamma wrote: »Rep grind is fun? It would have to work retrospectively as some achievements are VERY hard to get. It would simply not be fair towards players who have spend like half a year trying to get for example Emperor achievement, but because they already have it, they dont get any Crowns / Gems and they have to do it again.
Also, I think it will only bring a HUGE wave of various achievement farming exploits, EMP selling, HM vet X dungeon carry runs etc.
Overall, although I think the Idea is decent, I dont see it happening.

Rep grind that gives a currency to inlock special weapons motif pages and furnishings for the region you in heck maybe even toss in an expensive coffer we can buy that has random arena trial weps like say vma weps drop in green rarity wep is random type and trait and costs alot.
Be liek daily world boss and delve give like 5 currency and costs like 250 to buy coffer. Gives wrothgar, craglorn, murkmire some new life for those who just can't get a group or solo vma etc. Same bad rng and random traits and takes several weeks to do it.either way you still may not get that bow or staff lol

Nooooo. That would take away from the feeling of beating/getting good at those arenas.
SWTOR did it as well and it was an interesting concept.
ESO having character based achievements might make it tricky or require that the ones chosen are not farmable though.

There are already in-game achievements that award costumes, pets, etc. Why not just have more of that?
