If the players who enter the BR can't get back out until it's all over, and it comes down as expected with a handful of immortal tanks who can't do each other any damage, then it never ends. Meanwhile the rest of us have less lag, because of all the suckers players who got stuck in BR mode.
No refunds, no /stuck, no logging on as another character. Players with multiple accounts have them all switched to BR mode when any there.
Win/win that way!4 -

I assumed there would be a time limit associated with the round like with all the other battlegrounds. If there was no time limit - and the match lasted literally forever until there was just one person left - then that would be silly. That game was dead with very little to do in it. Of course the players gravitated to some actual content in THAT game.
In no way, shape, or form does that mean it'll translate to ESO.

✭✭15 players in a city like abahs landing (with all the cool thief passages) would be pretty awesome probably.
Maybe expanding it to like 30 players inside a small dlc sized zone would also work.
Gear etc. should not be taken away however.
Whoever doesn't like it doesn't need to participate.

UnseenCat✭✭✭✭I suppose you could do a twist on BGs with the Hircine idea. Dump three teams into the arena, the "winning" team must ultimately fight themselves once the other two are eliminated.
But functionally speaking, the latest round of lag needs to be addressed first. Even small groups fighting in PvP are hitting lag spikes as bad as with zergs. It would make a battle royale mode absolutely painful at this stage.0 -
