OK, what is it with a pile of the populace of Davon's Watch walking around in their underwear?
When tramping around the fields you see other players with their armour and gear on, but have a walk through the main street of Davon's Watch and scattered here and there are both male and female peeps just walking around in their underwear!
What's the go?! Did they have a particularly nasty quest and they soiled their armour so they had it sent to the dry cleaners, or what?
Or is Davon's Watch a bit of a semi-nudist resort which just wasn't listed on the "Tamriel Places To Do And See" travel brochures?
Look, I'm no prude! I've heard of "Fifty Shades of Grey".
So I thought to myself, "hey, if the local population feel comfortable trading iron ingots in their undies, then so should my peep too!"
So, in a very liberated mood, I looked at stripping all off to mingle with the threadbare masses but, I swear to you, my peep gave me a look of "if you think that I'm going out there in nothing but my 'reg grundies' then you are going to take me back to the character creator area and pull off another 10 kilos!"
Apparently, if my Nord is going to do the alfresco thing, he wants a six pack and not a beer barrel!

RustyBlades✭✭✭I usually ditch the starter armor and mark it all as junk. If I find armor before I get to the starter town, I put it on, if not I am either stuck waiting for quest gear or still gathering enough resources to make my own gear.
Besides, they aren't naked - they gots swords.2 -

I usually take my starter gear off too, just so I can enjoy the fur patterns on my khajiit. They did such a nice job of the khajiit fur, seems a shame to cover it all up. Besides, with fur, who needs ragbag clothing? :P

The problem with my character is that he is a Nord: though typically well built they have been locked up in the mountains for ages. Probably a little pasty!

Just a little off topic - but @AlienSlof! SLOF is here! *fangirls all over this post* Holy cow, I LOVED your mods for Oblivion/Skyrim! Too bad we can get some client-side-only eye-candy in ESO...of course, I'd get an uncontrollable case of the giggles if I saw some of your mods on other player characters (since I'm female, and always PLAY as a female) and my husband would think I'm a FREAK (ok, he already knows about some of it from seeing my modded Skyrim, but Oblivion was before his time.)

How many people go flinging their Coldharbour rags off immediately on hitting Tamriel firma?
I keep whatever I have on until I find better.
I don't know if that's from modesty or that when a toon wears the gear it doesn't take up any baggage slots anyway.
Where do you sit (and, I guess, if you are on the "walk around au naturel" side, you probably sit gingerly)?
