Hello Was hoping to get some good advice on how to get the most out of my current build.

Rn I am a High elf, dk 225cp sword and shield with back up bow. I am getting destroyed in all areas of pvp, my dps is pathetic. Trying to find the best loadout and where to allocate my cp points. But i feel lost and cant find any good specific examples on youtube.

You will get lots of advice, but here is mine

One Hand and Shield is better suited for PvE Tanks, not DPS.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

First thing to understand, building for DPS and Building for PVP are going to be night and day different. For DPS, you wont beat a DW and Bow. Sword and board is just not meant for damage. For PVP, you definitely have more options, but S/B bow is kind of a funny setup. Not saying you cant make it work, but its a bit unusual. A lot of DKs will use DW so they can play to the DOT/Bleed aspect of a build. You could look to a 2 hander for a bit more survival (it has a good burst heal).

Also, you seem to be playing a stamina DK, even though you have a bad race for it. A better option might be to grab some fire staffs and play magic with a high elf, but races arent deal breakers. With S/B, Bow, you should have most if not all your attributes into stamina.

For CP, dont overthink it. Spread them around evenly among the obvious trees.

-Blue: For Stam, mostly put points in the ritual (Mighty, Thaumaturge, PRecise strikes, Piercing).

-Green: Put just about everything into your primary stat regen. A little into block cost, break free, roll dodge and sprint are good as well, but with low CP, I would focus mostly on stat regen..

-RED: Hardy, Elemental Defender, Thick Skinned, Iron Clad, and In PVP, make sure you get points into crit resist or you are just going to get murdered (impen gear is also pretty much mandatory). In PVE on the other hand, crit resist is a completely useless stat.

Ah okay this is helpful, hmm I love playing a high elf but im not super keen in being a sorcerer maybe I can replace my s/b with a 2 handed weapon and bow loadout. might yield better results.

Also whats a good DMG number? So I have an idea what kinda numbers I should be dealing with. I have taken advice and switch to 2 handed and With searing strike and Momentum active I do weapon dmg about 2008 which at least is better what I was doing before but any advice how I can increase this to be more effective.

One thing to consider when designing a build is the major weapon damage buff. There are three sources; potions, 2 hander forward momentum, DW bouncing blade or whatever it’s called.

That’s why the standard is DW or 2H plus either bow or S&B. More damage oriented specs usually choose bow and more melee/brawler specs usually choose S&B. It gives you more options of potions you can use.

As a rule of thumb the more aggressive you are the more tankiness and healing you’ll need.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten
