[Hide] Hip Pad & Loin Cloth Setting?

Can we please get a [HIDE] Hip Guard and loin Cloth Toggle setting!?!
These pieces are often bulky and overlap with certain styles. It kills my buzz and turns me away from using Outfits altogether.
I could be wrong but it should be something easy to do that I think we all agree on... Please and thanks!

I would love this, but I bet it's not so easy... It's not like hats where it's a discrete game item you can equip or not. We're trying to hide a piece of an item. Could end up being like asking them to hide sword blades but keep the hilt- the programming is more complicated and could even vary from piece to piece.

I think we're better off just asking that new styles don't include those god awful ugly hip pads. When you walk around and those things are just moving with a mind of their own levitating like a foot away from your toon.... It's like come on ESO generally has good graphics WTF is up with things.

I'd be happy if they'd just stop with the tassets (the "hip pads") on chest armor.
They ruin the look of so many otherwise nice looking armor styles.
And they look even worse when your character is in motion.

The Dro-m'Athra motif currently in the store would have been a crown purchase for me if it weren't for the tassets on every chest piece. WAY too gaudy.

I also dislike hip, butt and crotch flappers on armor but hiding them seems unlikely since they are part of the design with so many chest styles. More feasible I should think, I'd like to simply see more chest piece styles without those bits that very few seem to like. Those flappers should be very rare on light armor robe/jerkins, somewhat rare on medium jacks. I get that the flappers may be appropriate for a fair number of heavy cuirass styles.

It is frustrating that for my mages to avoid all those flappers, their jerkin/robe style choices are so limited.

I understand some styles look better with them while others don't and some people prefer with or without which is why a toggle option is perfect! And I don't think coming up with new styles is any easier than opening up new possibilities with existing styles. I don't see why we can't do both! :)

To hide those parts, all the armour chest pieces would have to be redone. Currently the chest piece and tassets are part of a single model. To hide it you'd have to separate them into two distinct parts, with the ability to toggle the tassets.

You'd have to make sure the animations were correct when the tassets were shown, as they are now 2 separate objects anchored at a point. This might introduce it's own problems.

Easier to do would be single armour parts. Shoulders for example. That wouldn't take nearly as much work.

Agreed tbh, unless something like bones could be used to "hack" it. Like removing a leg bone and associated vertices miiiighhhtt remove legs. But with vertex weighting being as it is, I doubt this is a clean solution and so- like you said- its probably just too much effort for the payoff.

Shoulder hiding yes, though, please, ZOS.

We don't even have hide shoulders yet. With ZOS it seems we have to work with one thing at a time, even though it should have been released that way in the first place.

May I just point out that its a bit odd to complain that something is too gaudy when you're talking about wanting something that has been nicknamed the "Disco Cat Armor" XD

I do agree that it would be nice to be able to hide tassets though, along with minor armor parts (Gloves, belt, boots, shoulders). "Loin cloth" parts however are solidly attached to armors that have them, so it would not be possible to make them removable.
