Since yesterday, I have experience a lot of hangs at loading screens when traveling via wayshrine. At first I thought it was only when going to Elsweyr locations, but it turns out also to other locations like Elden Root. You do get the message “This may be a unusually long loading time”, but after a while the ring stops spinning and a few seconds later audio stops. The only way then is to force quit the app and start it again.
