If you lag out standing somewhere alone, have you checked out the crown store?

It would, but they have absolutely no sense of communication whatsoever. I've worked in tech support for several years, back a decade ago, and I'm baffled by how useless theirs is. I'm astounded by how deafening their silence is.
I know a thing of two, or maybe a dozen, about communication. I may chose not to always use them when I use the forums, but hey, that's not MY job here. The fact that community managers have no interaction with the community, except when they lock threads, post about deleting some messages, or, recently and very infuriatingly, lock a thread about bosmers losing stealth to point people to another thread that is apparently deemed "official", that has been ongoing for over 80 pages, and upon which no one from ZOS has ever bothered answering, proves by itself that they have no intention to communicate with their clients. Ever.
I considered creating a thread calling them out, politely, to explain why they should start communicating. They did mention a while ago that they had "poorly communicated" about server issues, that they had learnt from it, and would try to improve. The cynic in me presumed that it would be a one time thing, that they had not learnt at all, and that they would not improve their communication at all. Seems the cynic in me was right. So, why bother ? They probably know everything I know about communication, and maybe more.
They just don't care. New customers generate more income than trying to keep the old ones. It's very easy, really : just make sure you have a high visibility about how amazing your newly introduced dragons are, how the feedback is good, how you are "killing it", and there you go, new customers.
Of course, that's non-factoring the reviews that will inevitably take a dive as customers feel cheated, the generated mistrust that might cause future communication regarding that product, or the next, or the next next product, to be disregarded entirely, and in the long run the potential loss of long term customers, fans who bought each game and just won't buy the next. But investors and shareholders have never been known for their long time vision. Milk them now, and if the company fails, whatever, just invest elsewere.
One sure thing is they've seen the last of my money until they fix this mess. Server performance is poor ; dragon, animations are pitiful, they have no interaction whatsoever with their environnement (they don't attack the nearby farmers, and nearby farmers don't even notice the dragon sitting a few meters away from them) ; storytelling is rather uninspired, and 'lo and behold, we get the Mass Effect... effect, as player choices don't matter : you may or may not have killed Sai Sahan in a very specific quest, but he's gonna be back anyway. Oh, and stamina necromancers are currently bugged to hell and back, and then to hell again. No communication on that either. Why would they ? Chances are, some people who haven't bought Elsweyr yet might decide not to if they learn the ckass they want to play is bugged.
One thing many fail to understand is that silence is a form of communication ("You cannot not communicate", as the saying goes). An unclear one though, that leaves the way opened to many missinterpretation. Is it lazyness ? Failure to fix things that they would rather not admit publicly, while actually saying "we are sorry, we're doing our best but it's trickier than we thought" would go a long way to redeem them ? Is it just spite and a greedy interest in our wallets only ? When left to freely figure what silence means, one will often settle for what they personnaly deem the worst. Having worked my arse off in IT to make sure my customers were satisfied, or at least properly cared for, and often against my boss / company's will, the worst for me is that they wouldn't care, so that's what I settle for. Spite and greed. Maybe I'm wrong, but unless THEY tell us why they never ever bother talking to us, it's as good as any a possibility.
TLDR : they won't communicate, they don't care about your satisfaction, only that you keep spending money. Or so it seems.
