Buff Timer Options for Console?

Is it possible to have it so the buff timer when needing to be reapplied goes over the actual skill on the bar rather then in a mess of buffs and debuff icons across the top of your resources bar?

If not they really need to implement this QOL feature, just have it so when I buff with, let use Lotus Blessing for example, the skill goes dark and I have a countdown when it needs to be reapplied on the skill icon rather then above the resource bar hidden among a mess of other icons in an intense fight.

When starting out in this game, you know how long it took me to remember and recognize each symbol and what it means for buffs and debuffs. It made it harder when you often have so many on you that it takes up two lines above your resource bar.

Console users need more QOL features and its time to start giving back since we dont have add ons.

Yes, this would be a good idea. Certain AOE skills don't even show up on a Buff Timer (Elemental Blockade, Liquid Lightning, Endless Hail, Caltrops, etc...) which means you really need to have a grasp on your rotation so you don't let those AOE skills get re-cast too soon or go dormant for too long.

We waited what, three years to get a buff timer on consoles? Don’t expect anything like that, we can be glad that we got what we have right now.

I agree it would be great for AOE skills too.

Yeah this whole attitude of not trying and just being content with the *** they feed me doesnt work for me.

    I don't think it's contentedness, it's despair.

Adding all abilties cast by the player to the ability/buff timer would be a very nice addition.

Don’t get me wrong, I wish we had a lot more UI options on consoles, I was one of the biggest advocates for buff timers. It just seems like ZOS is either unwilling or ignorant about this topic.

Action duration reminder addon does this nicely on pc. That addon should be implemented into the base ui tbh. You can just look it up if you don't know what it looks like.

Its amazing what we accomplish on console without addons... Buff trackers only apply to certain skills. Its unfortunate but we do it. Lord please ZOS give us some type of help on these...combat metrics would be nice too...

I remember being so happy when they announced we were getting the buff trackers on console.

Then they present them in the most un-useable fashion.

They’re so bad I question why they even bothered making it a thing? Seriously. When in combat your whole bar fills up with all this garbage. I turned it off. Haven’t used the them since.

I’m supposed to be happy they give this to us? Gimme a break.

Btw, combat text is equally worthless. Unless you like looking at a bunch of pretty numbers flashing before your eyes. And can add all that garbage up at light speed on the fly to have it be somewhat useful or meaningful.

isnt it up to the particular console owner i.e Sony or Microsoft for stuff like that? ZOS cant just make it happen on consoles like they can PC because those companies have rights over any game played on their console? or that was my impression anyway, could be wrong but in any case this would be LOVED by many if not all eso players on console lol

Console users need more options in this area. Self buff timers, or just an option to only show self buffs, or and option to have one line with buffs and one line with debuffs... Something.

But since there are no devs that play on console (last I heard was that one of them only played for a short while), we can't expect them to understand.

Even if they only play on pc. They should be highly concerned with the base game.

I would be ashamed of myself if I worked there and had to use ad ons to play my own game.
