ZOS incorperate populair addons in ESO?

Some MMORPG's learn from there community and program some of the best addons into there game. Correct me if I am wrong, but ESO has not done that once.

Is it that hard to build a Minimap, Adv Guild store, Tradecentre or MM. I could list a few more.

When ESO launched I was adamantly opposed to addons. I argued that it was a cop-out for the developers, who could then ignore UI issues and pass the work on to voluntary contributors. Some 6 months later I caved and started using them because ZOS made it clear they weren't going to do their job, proving my point but leaving me with the choice to gimp myself with a weak default UI or use the addons I had decried.

To be fair, some things have been improved, namely the default guild store UI, or floating combat numbers. Those were important changes, but they also came years too late. I still think the game might be better with no addons because that would force ZOS to address their shortcomings and would leave everyone (namely PC/Mac and consoles) on equal footing. Never going to happen, though.

Good post and that's basically how I feel about it as well.

Console users in particular and those who do not use addons generally are getting so ______ when it comes to the guild trader system - which is basically run by addons on the PC version. That should be reason enough for them to at least incorporate the market-based ones into the base game so everyone has access to price histories and item locations. That's a huge advantage when navigating the market.
