Error 11

Hi, two days ago i decided to play ESO again. I hadn't played for two months before it, so i had to install some updates obviously. During „applying patch” some error showed up and forced me to use repair option. I did it and after some time i was able to click „PLAY”, but my game crashes constantly with Error 11. So... I decided to do Repair again and now it requires 60GB to download. Is there some way to avoid this or am i truly forced to download probably the whole game again? It will took one, full day. If there is not any different option to fix the game - that's the sign to stop playing ESO.

You can try the two troubleshooting steps listed below to see if they help you avoid needing to re-download large portions of the game again.

    Delete the ESO Launcher Folder
    • PC: Go to the Launcher folder and delete it.
      • You can find this by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher.

    Download new ESO Launcher

Once you have deleted the folder, download the ESO Launcher from your account management page here to reinstall it. You can do this by logging in to your account on our website and clicking the Download Game button on the page for your appropriate platform.

I have ESO on Steam and the location of the ESO Launcher is a little different, does it matter?

The location should not matter, however you will likely still need to run a repair through the ESO Launcher. Running the ESO Launcher as an admin can help if the repair is not working correctly.
    1. Start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher by right clicking on the icon on the desktop and selecting "Run as Administrator".
    2. Wait for the launcher to finish starting.
    3. If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure to have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
    4. In the middle of the launcher there will be an entry for Game Options next to an icon of a small cog wheel.
    5. Open the Game Options dropdown menu and click on the option for Repair.
    6. Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This may take some time.
    7. If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.
