Currently 2. It's a new account. Got a main and a crafter that needs to stay up in levels with the main.

I am thinking of buying a slot for mule character to hold undaunted monster sets though. Back on point, I consider them all active characters as I have gear, build ideas, and setups updated for the current patch.

Just curious how people get more than 10 characters. Do you just buy the game a second time and make 10 more characters or do people pay 1500 crowns to make new ones? I know eso + gives crowns to spend . . .

I have nine characters, four of which I play routinely, two of which I play from time to time, and three of which sin in banks and are still below level 5 (despite one of them being two years old and the other nearly five).

I mean, I always refer to them that way, ever since the poorly designed Crown Store was implemented. The actual development team (game designers, coders, narrative designers, audio/sound engineers, etc.) are entirely different teams and different people than the Monetization Team (the individuals responsible for the Crown Store, crown-crates, the RNG of crown crates, flash-sales, cash-grabs, gambling, and being anti-Consumer over all, in general...) So, yeah, Z0$ seems appropriate until ESO accounts become shared-progress across all platforms and/or the Crown Store becomes less anti-consumer and without the gambling aspect attached to it.

After all, we, as players and consumers, just want the best ESO and entertainment experience for ourselves.
But Z0$ just wants short-term profit instead of long-term success with their Crown Store pricing strategies.
Don't agree? Just look at Outfit-Slots. That's just one example, one out of many.
I love ESO, I just hate when Z0$ tarnishes the ES brand with terrible anti-consumerism mechanics in their business practices.
A cash shop for in-game cosmetics is completely fine. Just implement it correctly. You know, without the RNG gambling mechanic. Hence, Z0$.

All you did was describe a typical for profit company. Like Micro$oft, Jer$ey Mike$ $ubS, and Game$top. Might as well put the dollar sign in every company's name that has the letter 'S' in it. ZOS' monetization practices only win if you make the purchase. And you don't need to spend a dime in the Crown Store in order to play the game.

I have 55 active characters plus 5 new necros. 10 are daily use characters. 30 or so are at least once a month. The five new necros were created and parked. I have CP on 2 of 5 accounts but my main account has CP on both servers.

Generally play a few at a time. Get tired and change out to a different class and playstyle. Able to No CP pvp and pve all of the one leveled out. All fully leveled characters are geared and undaunted to 9 at least and assault/support to level 6 and 9 on tanks and healers. Except the Tank NB which I have not really played much except to craft daily writs and to max out at 50.

I have 11 Chars and need one more so I have a magicka and stamina version of each class. However two of my chars are my mainchars, I do almost everything on - they are a Nord Stamblade and Altmer Templar Healer. 7 chars are maxlevel. The rest are all below level 30 and I log in once a day to do one random dungeon and bg, so my lowlevel chars are the ones I play now, but often I have no time to play all four. Once they are maxlevel I will return to my main to quest but also slowly collect skyshards and level up skilllines with the other chars. It depends mostly from my mood what character I play. But I delete chars I haven't played for months.

Missing Psijic on all toons, I completed it only on my Stamblade where was really needed, on the others I decided to not use Psijic skills because I can't take the pain to fully level Psijic on 9 toons.

Still doing undaunted, skill points and psijic for my Altmer Magicka Nightblades and Breton Magicka Warden (in order to finally complete my initial goal to have a Magicka and a Stamina of every class), then i'll start leveling my Stamina and Magicka Necromancers.

I have 15, with the addition of my new necromancers; most of them are missing gear and skills, so I usually play with those that are fully geared, probably 4-5 at the moment. I do feel bad though when I'm logging on an alt for a writ or inventory management, that I don't play a lot with, because it's like I'm showing favouritism towards only some of my characters, and the others might feel left out

That's probably weird, but yeah, I wish I played more with all my alts.

I have a total of 12 characters at present, a Necromincer being my 12th.

In terms of what I actually play regularly, this depends on the content I am tackling or what I am trying to achieve within the game. However, in general I use the following characters/classes regularly:

DPS:
Magsorc (ranged)
Stamsorc (in yo face)

Heals:
Magplar

Tonking:
Warden

As you can imagine with 12 characters I have a variety of options, some of which are used for specific content. So for instance I have a Stamblade used almost entirely for anything requiring stealth - Gold coast/Dark brohood and Hews Bane/Thieves guild. I also have several "themed" builds, such as my StamDK dps, set up entirely for poison and disease damage, every single aspect of damage he does, does one of these two (its actually fantastic fun but I do not use it for anything beyond having fun).

The latest edition, my Necromincer, is proving to be incredible fun, I started him of going to be a Magcromincer healer, but have shifted towards being a tank, cos the class has such high. Early indications are that he could replace my Warden tonk as my go to for tonking.

18 all at level 50.

Only really play on my main though, while the others are leveled, they are all short of skill points, they have a bit more than they need to do all the max level daily crafting quests on each character, they finance my main characters bank account/provide stock for my guild store slots.

Sometimes I will respec one and play for a few days but I always end up going back to my main, just can't be stuffed skill point hunting on alts. Have no intention of buying the skyshard unlocks either, if they were for gold instead of crowns I would have.

18 characters..16 at max level...one nearing it and one waiting in the wings. So currently I play 17 of the 18 regularly but if I'm being truly honest there are my chosen 6 who receive more time...
