Bless whoever edited this  And yes the 'paid Bethesda cheers' are a meme at this point, lol.
Oh yeah it's totally paid actors and not, like, the fact that the audience is completely packed with people literally so motivated to see new Bethesda stuff that they come out to E3 for it. 9_9

For real though what kind of person do you think is going to try to nab front row seats to the Bethesda show? Could it be.... Bethesda fans? Extremely enthusiastic Bethesda fans, maybe? Sounds a bit more believable to me. Also I've been to one of these, and the one I went to I was sitting one seat down from "Bethesda Girl", who it turns out was just a really excited ESO player like the rest of the 12 people in our group who showed up for that BE3 event. But nah it has to be paid shills, apparently, because we're all just so mad that Armor of the Trainee got nerfed once.
Perhaps you're unaware, but there was a popular post on here about whether or not ZOS paid the audience to cheer - it got several pages of responses, and my 'paid Bethesda cheers' was clearly referencing that discussion.

And yes, it's a meme at this point. There's even articles about it (https://culturedvultures.com/bethesdas-e3-2019-crowd-sure-was-interesting/ https://dotesports.com/news/bethesda-fake-crowd-noise ) and several youtube commentators also mentioned the hype squad  The video that OP posted illustrates the essence of this perfectly.

So please, don't take it too hard, just embrace the meme that the 'Bethesda hype squad' has become. And for the record, the people who nab front row seats to the Bethesda show... could be... Bethesda employees. Because they were. So yeah that sounds plenty believable to me. That's why people have been mocking/teasing the disproportionate front row audience cheers, because they mostly came from the same group of people repeatedly and it could be considered tooting their own horn or being paid for it because many of them are paid employees.

Edit: I realize the image might be hard to see in this size; check out the youtube video for more detail. But yeah, it's clearly visible that the repeatedly and loudly cheering people are the devs.
    And?

Devs arent allowed to celebrate their work? The YEEEAAAAH guy even ended up being the Dungeon Lead who was stoked for people to hear about the new pack coming. These guys are passionate about what they create, regardless of what the community chooses to bash on that week. I envy their enthusiasm, these people love their work.
I already pointed out that the issue wasn't the front row cheers themselves, the problem was that their intensity and frequency were extremely disproportionate compared to the general audience's reaction and the content that was being presented. If the whole audience had been excited about the announcements (they didn't announce much anyway) then the devs standing ovation and constant cheers wouldn't have stood out like a sore thumb in a mostly quiet reservedly clapping crowd (see the Cyberpunk segment that somebody posted for comparison).

It's not that devs aren't allowed to celebrate the work, but when they're the only ones cheering for their game in such an over the top manner it's just bad optics for the game because they seem detached from their actual audience and it ends up being cringy. And as others pointed out, it was clearly disruptive to the point of undermining the presenter's composure even more as he constantly suttered when interrupted by randomly placed 'woohoo's  Bethesda isn't living this one down, so just go with the flow and embrace the meme, the 'Bethesda hype squad' will take its rightful place amongst the other convention memes like 'the red shirt guy' 'do you guys not have phones' '16 times the detail' and more

Well maybe developers shouldn't be doing that when people can't even play the game or are having a hard time playing the game. Like the people in Europe. This was just as a bad as Raptor fans cheering for a player getting injured and worse, heckling a players parents. It was PATHETIC on both ends.

"YEEEAAAHHHHH. WOOOP WOOOOP. Europeans can't play the game I made" Yeah let's keep cheering. Mind you i live in North America and I felt bad for the Europeans who have issues playing.

Like how can Bethesda really be proud when issues are going on?

Being proud and excited for your work is one thing. Disrespecting your fans/customers is another thing. While you see is excitement, all I see is DISRESPECT or even worse, people who don't care.

I have no idea how you equate an individual happy about their work on something to be disrespectful. That's just highly unreasonable. The Dungeon Lead has a right to be happy about his Dungeons regardless of the fact that the EU Server is struggling at the moment. Of course, you can feel whatever you want, but that doesn't make it true.

That's very rare. I've only seen it happen in midnight premiers of a major film like Star Wars. 99% of the time Cinema goers remain silent besides the errant chatter box or loud eater.

If the movie's good and there's a good collective atmosphere of enjoyment in the crowd-- when a movie holds people spellbound. Doesn't happen often :D The last time I saw it happen was a crowded showing of Inception.

    "Millions more players have joined."

    "Added more server capacity"

Speaking to drunken loud mouths in the front row (at least I hope they were drunk).

As game performance continues to deteriorate.

Why would anyone release this video? Cringeworthy and embarrassing.

And in an unpleasant way...enlightening. :/

The individual represents the company. Simple as that. I know when I worked at many places, we always represent the company when going out. Always told as well if something ever happens and reporters come in we are suppose to say " no comment, see so and so".

Also it says "yeahhhh I work for a company that disrespects their fans and customers and can't make a working product".

So yeah I equate the person to being disrespectful FULL KNOWING how the community feels about the company he works for and represents.

As others have said, being prideful of the work you do and accomplishments are one thing, to go over the top, is just disrespectful to all the other issues players have.
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

To be fair, despite being fairly annoyed every other day with ESO and voicing my frustrations if I was there in front row surrounded by all the other ESO addicts I'd probably scream and clap to every sentence 😆

Honestly, saying when we were watching stream on twitch we were sincerely clapping and wooing and yaohooing, especially when Todd was appearing it was pure elation, since it all felt like good comedy show :D no offense and bad will to those ZOS and Bethesda employees, who do their work every day, laugh is directed only on managers.
