Elsweyr character creation champion gear

Any idea when we might see them as motifs ingame or crown store? I really like the look of them but can't figure out where any gear matching them even drops.

    The style is the style of the Sunspire gear drops I believe, but the motif doesn't seem attainable yet.

    Typically the champion gear preview is the highest level style of whatever race your character is. Did they change this? I made a necro but didn't notice.

    They did change it for Elsweyr

    Champion Gear will show in the Sunspire style, thus far unavailable. It’s very nice looking though, worthwhile to keep the armor showing through on any toons wearing False God body pieces

    I don't think that's been the case since the very start of the game. With each expansion the champion gear on creation screen has changed.

    If they release all the goodies at once into the Crown Store, I don't think they'd get nearly the same revenue as they would if they slowly release stuff. Keeps income more steady and lets people acquire income to get the Crowns to buy the stuff.

    OP, there is a sub-forum and a specific pinned thread for Crown Store suggestions. I'd advise putting it in there.

    Yes, for all other trials thus far except for HoF (although an achievement showed this motif in the game temporarily months ago). Also, Asylum doesn’t have a full motif, so no motif has been released for that content either.

    Yes they changed all the outfits in character creation to Elsweyr styles only. No racial styles anymore. It’s horrible

    Yep. Plus, 'champion gear' previews shouldn't even exist at all as it gives new players unrealistic expectations. No, your Templar doesn't have to be a reskinned Dragonknight in heavy armor. No, your Nightblade doesn't have to be a leather-wearing dps. :expressionless: Creating these 'champion gear' prototypes does more to confuse and deceive players about how classes/roles/armor types/armor styles work, and it doesn't help them l in any way to learn about flexible combat roles, about armor skill line passives, or about the outfit system.

    If they insist on keeping some foolish gear preview system in the character creation, at least make it a simple racial style based on your race, not an armor type based on your class!!! E.g. 'Starter Style' instead of 'Champion gear' and even then it should come with a tooltip of 'As a proud member of [race] you will start with knowing the [racial] style which you can use to craft armors in or use as outfits. However, any character can learn all other styles throughout the game by obtaining the appropriate Motif book or Style pages'. Or something :neutral: Maybe that could dispel some false impressions player might get from their 'gear' preview, and could prevent them from making important class or race choices based on something completely deceptive and irrelevant.
