Hello,

Having huge issues sustaining on a dps test parse.

The build I have is really strong, but trying to find a balance is driving me crazy.

5 Alkosh body
5 deadly - 2 bloodthirsty 1 harmony
2 VMA daggers
1 VMA bow - weapon dam enchant

All perfect traits nirn - sharp - infused - all divines all gold - all max stam 7 medium.

Food - Garlic cod - max HP - max stam

1 bar det siphon - trap beast - avid boneyard - bloodcraze - rapid strikes. * Ult - Pestilent Colossus

Back bar - skeletal archer - cal traps - evil hunter poison inj - endless hail. * Flawless Dawnbreaker

I tried every possible set up to manage sustain through the parse - Heavy attack - Rec drink - Reduce cost glyphs I still run out ?

I burn the dummie extremely fast to execute phase.

I'm lost any help would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to have something different that can be beneficial toward raids.

: And yes I do know the defuff doesn't stack, but the Alkosh dot does.

Thanks 👍

    What a strange setup.

yea, try lava foot soup. if thats not enough, slap an absorb glyph on your bow. should be enough. if not, become vamp.

Unless you are redguard, you cant run max hp/ max stam food.

Doesn't the Colosssus give crit for the execute phase? :)

Yes, But executes are generally alot shorter. and flawless dawnbreaker buffs weapondamage over the full fight. So you get more benefit.
Certainly More damage gain than 10% more crit in execute. I dont think he will run min max trials with this setup he is using. So He will gain more overall damage running dawnbreaker on mainbar.

I ran backbar - Det siphon - Avid boneyard - Skeletal archer - Poison Inj - Endless hail * Collosses

My crit chance bonus passive is 40% - its 10% for each ability slotted.

    Monster crit gain !

    42% crit base backbar - with pot 52% - below 25% + 40%
    > on excute 92% crit chance *

It's taking some time to adjust but It's coming together. 👍

I know that. Yet outside of trials, you benefit more from the weapon damage over the whole fight then just extra 10% crit from 1 skill.

On DW bar I run 3 skills grave lord. On my own, getting up to 90% Which is more than enough. Then you also have nightblade passives. Which when you have one in trial gives you additional 3% from minor savagery.

Which leaves me at 93%. In trials at least.

BUT I dont sacrifice my weapon damage. 44162f347a4f9471b00085ea7fb2dc95.png

There, add 33% crit in execute. (this is with pot on)

THe point I was making though, The setup you run looks more like solo/dungeon oriented rather than trials. So generally the execute phases in your fights will be really short for the most part. So having higher weapon damage rather than just 10% more crit in short execute will benefit you alot more in doing more damage.

@xMovingTarget how do you sustain as of today? I run lava foot soup same setup except perfect relequen and even on raid dummy I am parched..

Blastbones also derps around every 2nd or so cast and only ends up doing 4500~ dps overall..

@reprosal Simple, Just run a 2h setup in trials :D

    b5c3a6818f66149100632bd4e02d9bd0.png

With this I have no issues with sustain at all. again, only popped a pot

I tend to change my setups. For overland (quest for skillpoints etc), dungeons, Arenas I usually run DW. In trials I run 2H. Will get expensive since between 2h and dw, also need to change the CPs..

I also have another maelstrom bow with Absorb stam glyph, In case sustain is meh at occasions. Like if you do pug dungeons and nobody gives orbs/spears. Also running stormfist instead of velidreth is an option if its not enough. I just have so many setups and sets to suit all the needs. literally half my inventory is filled with sets.

I am seriously debating going to a non necro skill spam vma flurry setup since necro gets an innate 10% bonus to DoT... screw derpy blastbones..

I wrote this on another thread but I'll paste it here cause this really works for me.

Depending on your race, if you chose imperial, orc or even khajiit you can run lava soup with 10-20 health attributes (imperials should run 10-12 orcs & khajiit 18-22) this will give you 16k + hp with the necro hp passive. dump the rest in stamina. This will give you crazy regen with a high stam pool.

I love tzo warbands on the necro. I replace trap with mortal coil the rotation is exactly the same. This gives you perfect sustain for any solo or small group content. Vma is alot easier for me doing this. For those without trial gear deadly strikes combined with warbands can get you 40-42k dps on a 6m dummy without major fracture or any other raid buffs.

    Edit: Screenshot

This is with a archer summoned + potion popped. You could go vamp for more recovery.

Note: this is without the undaunted passives, i will be over 30k stam and around 16.4-16.5k hp with them

So do you end up with more stamina and stam regen using lava foot and re-allocating 20-odd attributes into health? Or is it about the same?
