What makes you enjoy Nercomancer Healer?

I've only played one to level her (she's starting today at Level 48). The only cool thing I've identified is Necrotic Potency. And even that is a bit of a pain to use, as it may take several casts to snarf up all the corpses in an area.

Like nightblades, necros have the potential to take care of traditional tank responsibilies such as Major Fracture and Minor Maim. But I don't know what the practical applications of that amount to.

So far, I've only done normal dungeons while leveling.

I love gaining ult between fights by recasting bone armor/spirit mender and using necrotic potency. And renewing undeath is a very efficient AoE burst heal, AoE purge, AND AoE heal-over-time all in one.

I use the bone colossus ult to support group DPS. Even though necros don't make strong mag dps atm, I find a half-healer, half-dps build performing well (when the group has enough healing). With 3 class AoE DoT's (boneyard, skeletal mage, shock siphon), you can set-and-forget and then get back to your healing rotation.

I do pug dungeons and occasionally run with a guildy, my main healer is a warden so I can throw out some comparisons as well.

the mending spirit combined with earthgore is an easy mode pug save. the mender will auto target low health for its duration, and if their critical earthgore will save them, as long as that combo is going its hard for someone to actually die even if you are not paying attention or able to keep up with the puglets.

if they do die having rez ult on one bar in cases where you cannot stop to rez is also very easy mode, tank goes down and things look critical? nope.

enduring undeath is a very good aoe heal over time, and you can feed it with your mender and skeletal mage.

necrotic potency is amazing ult gen, and possibly broken in a lot of situations.

the annoying / bad:

the siphon / tether skills are annoying to try and use and work around, especially with puglets all over, im sure coordinated guilds and groups will be able to "min max" these skills for "optimal effect" but in practice they still take up a slot any are annoying to use.

no heal ult

its main single target heal, render flesh, is one of those EVER ANOYING only effects one target, might be you, might be the person you want to heal, might be the person a mile away that you glanced at. I hate skill like this with a passion, they always fail when you need them the most.

necrotic potency is inconsistent based on the fight / dungeon / adds / etc. and combined with high base ult costs your ability to use ults is inconsistent. sometimes you will have them constantly, sometimes it feel like its been ages.

no good heal passives compared to templar and warden

conclusion:

they feel like off healers, templar and warden are top, necro is second line.
