Back in my day there was no One Tamriel, so you could go to some podunk gold or silver zone for your alliance and it would be empty. Would have been great for farming mats, but ZOS was one step ahead of us and stuck tier 9 mats in those zones instead of tier 10 mats. Nothing like coming out of Bal Foyen with 800 nightwood....
Back in my day - If someone picked up the phone, your gaming session was over for the next 10-20 minutes as you tried to reconnect, all the while yelling at your family about how important that battle was.
"Death smiles at us all. All one can do, is smile back."
We had to wait in line to finish the zone quest in Reaper’s March.
Daedric motifs sold for 100k. Further, motifs came as a whole book instead of multiple pages.
There was no collision with NPCs.
Your mount was always going full speed, there was no “run up” time. You also didn’t slow down when hitting rocks and holes in terrain.
There was no craft bag.
Max level enchanters made bank.
There were no achievements for collecting random monster parts.
Spawning at forward camps in Cyrodiil had no cooldown.
We got rewards for maintaining a subscription.
We had a pants-off-dance-off in Vulkel Guard at the end of beta. We danced from the wayshrine to the boats and beach, even the island off the coast. It was a great time and we could use more community gatherings like that.
