Curious how they explain away Sai's return if we chose to axe him in the original main quest.

They've clearly demonstrated their disdain for lore to sell popular content already. No explanations will be forthcoming.

Now that we know more about the content of the Q4 DLC, we can also piece together what the vision at the end of the Elsweyr MQ means.

The "warrior with a great mane on his chin" is Sai Sahan, obviously.
The "children cloaked in scales" are the reformed Dragonguard, the scales refering either to their affiliation with dragons or the original Akaviri (Tsaesci) Dragonguard.
The "terrible tyrant" is most likely Kaalgrontiid, as we didn't see him defeated yet and it's unlikely they'll pull another baddie out of the hat.

And the dragon with a broken horn ... well.

    You all know the one.

Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

In a trailer we saw (it was rly hard to tell since it was night & it was burning and partially destroyed) a city in a redguard style. Also Sai Sahan is back. I am guessing it will be a "DC zone".

They have stated it is Pelitine in south Elsweyr on the website. :)

So... AD zone 3-times in a row ? Two of them being focused on cats ?
Damn, they should have called it "season of cats"... :D

Only twice in a row. It was Murkmire (EP) > Northern Elsweyr (AD) > Southern Elsweyr (AD). This should complete AD if it's the rest of Elsweyr too so from now on it will be Cyrodiil, EP and DC. 2021 will likey be Skyrim (10th anniversary). I'd love to see a vampire chapter in County Skindgrad + Colovian Highlands.

If people expect the whole rest of Elsweyr to come with a Q4 DLC, they're going to be disappointed. That would be more area than even the chapter covered. It's going to be the same size as other small DLC like Murkmire.

Also it's quite disappointing tbh, that we only get to see one province this year. It's all from the same asset pool. I like the Elsweyr zone, but I don't feel like visiting again so soon.

I agree. Instead of getting the rest of Elsweyr, there will most likely be a huge gap in the map and a tiny disconnected zone plastered in at the very south.

I'm kinda holding out hope that they decided to do two medium sized zone DLCs this year, rather then a big one and a small one. I agree that Northern Elsweyr (Anequina) seems smaller then other "chapters", so I hope Southern Elsweyr (Pellitine) will be bigger.

This is what I imagine they're aiming for. They're clearly trying to do something special with the Year of the Dragon and I believe that it makes more sense to depict Elsweyr as two medium sized zones as opposed to a larger Anequina and a "Murkmire-sized" Pellitine for the sake of following some kind of "DLC" pattern. The idea that the devs are following some kind of DC -> EP -> AD pattern with their zones has already been debunked.

Here's to hoping that Pellitine will have very thick foliage as we saw in the Tenmar Borderlands area of Northern Elsweyr. Imagine an entire zone like that...until it reaches the shores of the sea. I also hope that there will be an overland border crossing with Northern Anequina.

Geographically, Elsweyr is a harsh area of badlands and dry plains. Only near the southern reaches does the soil turn fertile, and the whole of this region is covered in jungle and rainforests, with sugarcane groves clustering against the two main river basins.

    - Pocket Guide to the Empire, 1st Edition/The Elsweyr Confederacy

I'm hoping we'll see at least some indication of this biological diversity in Southern Elsweyr, but the use of the term "wasteland" raises some doubts.

Sorry, i meant, "The dragons obviously burned the zone to the ground, so what did we expect?!"

RE: Sai: ZOS are either on a fan-service kick (see current chapter), or they think that the old Coldharbour crew are their strongest characters and using them to hook new players who don't care about continuity is more important than the fuss made by veterans who do. So I'm hoping this will be cleverly handled, but my guess is those who sacrificed him will get a single dialogue option where he tells you he doesn't know what happened, he just woke up, and speculates that he was sent back because his purpose wasn't fulfilled.

No, it will be a DLC. But, DLCs are free access if you already have ESO+. ;)

so dragonhold is the last dlc and finishes the dragon story i assume?

scalebreaker is the next (dungeon) dlc in august?

Don't we get 3 more dlc this year? Do we already know what the 3rd dlc is going to be?

We get three in the year, but We had the first before Elsweyr - i.e. Wrathstone.

I’m guessing this will be a PvE zone with story content. Is there a place in southern Elsweyr called Dragonhold? Or is it’s location elsewhere? I couldn’t find anything when I googled it

Yep, from the announcement article it's a story/zone dlc in Southern Elsweyr. Also from the article, they call out its contents but with no mention of any new features or gameplay content beyond questing.

If true, that'll make it the first zone dlc without any new additions like an arena, guild + mechanics, trial, etc. And that's pretty sad ngl, really skimping on content then.

Trailer looks nice, I hope they fix the servers so we can play the game that we enjoy very much.

P.S: Add more chest hair to Sai next time please.

I am tired of those dungeon DLC. There is not enough people willing to be patient while doing the quest and achievements there. Also, if trying to to the veteran versions you need to match the DPS of those elite dickheads else you get kicked and have to wait 15 minutes to use the dungeon finder.

There are plenty of people out there who want to do the quest and take things slow in the dungeons for their lore kicks or whatever. You could always find some of them and group up, hell I think there are even a couple of guild dedicated to that very playstyle. Seek them out, form a group, profit.

Oh and people aren’t “dickheads” just because they can do more dps then you.
