Outfit slot price ... LOL

Dunno who's in charge of Crown Store pricing ZOS, but you seriously need to have a discussion with your team. 1500 crowns for 1 outfit slot for 1 character is hilariously bad. It's like throwing a dart and missing the entire wall.

ESO has always been a game to me with fundamentally great and sound game design, coupled with some bewilderingly, head scratchingly bad cash shop design. You want to make more money, then fire the team currently in charge of the cash shop.

I would expect Zos would change the price if it was not selling well. Being the outfit system has been out for quite a while it seems people are buying the outfit slots. So some may find it head scratching but people pay these prices.

It does go on sale from time to tome. I think about 1200, maybe 1k.

There's a reason I make do with the one free slot on all characters.

So far, that's been sufficient for me, plus costumes...which to be honest is probably the reason for the 1500 crown cost. Its basically a changeable costume slot that you can make from any motif you know.

The most I would ever pay for one extra outfit slot is 100 crowns per character. Keep your slots, ZOS, and your laughable pricing.

Maybe and maybe not. After charging players 1500 crowns, permanently lowering the price would definitely anger anyone who paid 1500 for them originally.

Sales, on the other hand, are different and they've done quite a few. Used to be half price at 750 crowns, but starting with the Anniversary Event, they've only been discounted to 1000 crowns.

I had considered picking up a slot during the Anniversary event, since they gave us those new outfit styles, but when I saw the 1000 crown price tag (rather than the 750 it used to be), I laughed and decided to completely pass. They were on sale again recently, also at 1000 crowns. This just insures I won't ever buy them.

But, then again, I mostly use costumes, since I can pay one price and any of my characters can use them, and I can freely dye them. I also haven't bothered with the outfit system except to make some basic non-dyed outfits using the free outfit styles that came with pre-order/collector's editions, such as Divine Prosecution.

I don't care for the silly prices either, but that's the business model. They chase a small number of big spenders instead of pricing for the wider audience.

The maybe likely has it as if Zos was not selling some at full price they would be smart to remove it and bring it back for limited time offerings. After all Zos is about having a lean crown store.

Further, I had mentioned they put them on sale from time to time as you were also mentioning. I would expect they sell more then for obvious reasons but I am pretty sure they sell them at full price as well for the same reason some pay full price for crowns.

Oh, how do I know this, not long ago someone created a post that Zos had added a new shiny home to the crown store but the ability to buy new crowns was down. Honestly, I do not check on buying crowns unless I am interested so it is likely they were looking to buy crowns at full price for such an expensive imaginary item.

We should let this thread die. The post above has the much more informative thread on the subject..

Doubt that people are buying them much and definitely no where near the total ZoS would make had these even been some semblance of sanity. ZoS is basically asking people to buy a Chevy for the price of a Bugatti.

You know they haven't been selling well, since Outfit Slots have almost constantly got some sale going on - 1,200 Crowns, 1,000 Crowns and down to 750 Crowns (50% off).

ZoS is never going to fix these and will continue to rely on the very poor description to catch a few people off-guard that the price is account-wide then find out after purchase it is one character only.

I bought one slot thinking it unlocks extra slot for all alts, but I was gravely mistaken. Never making that mistake again :D

    Same as me...
I wouldnt mind spend 2000 crowns, for one account wide slot, which means 18 characters.

There are some items, like motif styles, "some mounts" (great elk), some houses, which are too expensive imho but we still understand because lots of people buy them... 😌

BUT these outfit extra slot are something beyond wild. They are tremendous expensive, since we are talking about only one character slot... Thats crazy. 😰😰😰

I am happy with the free slot... I have the 18 characters so i dont really get tired of the ones i wear but ... Wtf!

There is already a thread for this so please use it. Maybe if it grows enough ZOS will change something:

Considering that ZOS constantly puts the Outfit Slots on discount - way more often than the other store products - it seems like they regret their original pricing decision.

    But they can't backtrack now.
